Just imagine how incredible that would be in a custom made BBQ island...alongside a large grill cooking up some carne asada...some fresh salsa, margaritas....with the sounds of guitar hero (or maybe even band hero..when that comes out)......
Instant Party.
Instant Party.

lol... looks like my dads garage..... hes been brewing his own beer for years now.... he's gotten really good at it! everyone that drinks it loves it!
Forget the supercharger for the 8, I just found a great way to spend $4300.

The Device can serve up to four kinds of beer at once while fermenting a fifth.
If it does Hot Sake, it's a done deal!!!

hey guys...
i listened to the ticking/ crackling sound in my cabin some more... and, i'm not entirely sure it's the sunroof. is it possible that my rear windshield wasn't set correctly and this is what's making the noise? the windshield doesn't leak and is sealed properly as far as i can tell. but, this ticking/ crackling sound only recently started happening and is most noticeable immediately after i start up the car and back it off the driveway. (yes- very weird.)
i probably need to have some of u help me listen to it to help pinpoint where the sound is coming from exactly. i hope it's the moonroof at this point, cuz theres a TSB. having them re-do the rear windshield again would be a royal pain in the butt.

You live close to a couple of my favorite roads. De luz /Sandia road are super fun for a 'spirited' cruise. Not good for racing, but killer views, cool houses and lots of elevation changes.

oh. . .the windshield
I was doin about 70-75mph on the 15 freeway headin to work. Cought a big piece of concrete or something. It was SO loud. Like an M-80 goin off in the passenger seat. The glass went everywhere. So now I gotta get a new piece of glass for Steph's car.
I was lucky it hit the glass and not the A pillar. Glass is only $150 installed. Body work is expensive.

Gerry,
good news / bad news time:
It's not your sunroof and it's not your rear windshield. The sound you're hearing is coming from the rear deck somewhere. I wish I could tell you exactly where but from the sounds of it, it's EXACTLY what I'm experiencing (and many others have as well)
About 2 months ago, I took out one of the seats, took off the rear deck, and even stuffed a buddy of mine in the trunk while I drove around to find the sound. No luck....
It's starting to bug me again so I might take out both seats, rear deck, and just add some sound dampening material (aka dynamat) That should fix it.
Be thankful it's not the sunroof. Although there is a TSB for it, most dealerships have little to NO experience taking out the sunroof and taking the entire headliner out. It's one heck of a job and most of the time it doesn't come out right. (just look at Scrmn's case)
I'll let you know what I find out with my car.

thanks for the info jorge... yah- our cars were manufactured around the same time, since our delivery dates were only a month apart.
the crackling/ rattling sound is definitely really unusual, and it really has me puzzled. it just all-the-sudden started happening outta nowhere. and, i'm sorry to hear that your car (and other owners) also have this issue. (did u guys start a thread on it, and if so could you link me up?)
i definitely hope you figure out what the sound is... and please do keep me posted. if you decide to work on it some time, let me know and i'll try to come down and meet up with u guys. i definitely want to help.
thanks,
gerry
