Rock Band - Good News/Bad News
First the good news.
Bands and artists such as the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Clash, Foo Fighters, The Ramones, Radiohead, The Strokes and Nine Inch Nails have already agreed to have master recordings in the game. Metallica has made a deal to have much of its catalog available and The Who's Who's Next album will be downloadable in its entirety.
Looks like the game will come w/ tons of future downloads. That should be fun.
Now the bad news.
The Ramones.
The Grateful Dead will have 18 songs in the game.

I'm interested in the race at the Orange Show, but not real interested in making a drive to the beach this month, and then driving back to the Orange Show.
My recommendations would be to have the meet like normal, at Pirate....and then do a run around in that area. People are welcome to come back to my house between the cruise and the Orange Show since there will be about 4 hours in between.
You guys really need to consider going to the Orange Show.....mainly, because Destruction Derby is insane. I remember going last year and I don't think my throat has ever hurt that bad...the laughing, the screaming...it is a blast. I think I had a headache from all the yelling.
Never seen the mini cars yet, that must be interesting. Casey, do the heads of the drivers stick out above the roof line....cause I can't imagine that guy fitting inside that little thing.

The Orange Show is like a really, really little Fontana Speedway. It is literally 3 blocks down the street from the Pirate City Tattoo shop. It is right across the street from all those stereo shops and that weinersnitzel/jack in the box on the corner of E and Inland Center Drive.
Gerry, it is a blast....I can't even describe how much fun it is. It would make for a really long day, but worth it.
And, think of it this way, it will get you guys ready for the long day the following weeks down in Irvine for SS.

Jake, we can definately do your suspension. We will need to do it at my house and borrow the spring collapsers from Casey....since he will be unavailable after the cruise.
Casey and I can usually do the suspension in 2-2.5 hours as long as the air compressor is being ccoperative. If I am doing this by myself, it may take a bit more time. I know that Loren shared that he may be interested in assisting, as he may need some assistance with his suspension in the next couple weeks as well. With the three of us turning bolts, we should be good.

jorge> sorry to hear that jorge... is everything ok? hope nothing too serious... we'll take pix for you. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
casey, keith> i c... well, i agree with u guys that we should do a normal meet then this weekend. i' not sure if i can be out all day- only because we still have construction going on at the house all day, 7 days a week. but, i will see.
i'm actually slightly afraid to look at my car... i've had to park it outside with a car cover for the past week and a half cuz of the construction. although it's out of the way, some of the construction guys had to move old carpet & debris around the back. i hope they didn't brush that **** against my baby.
cesar> 18 grateful dead songs?!! they must be crazy... who wants to rock out to that crap?![Lol](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/lol.gif)
on a side-note about my fender bender- the beamer is in the shop and the adjuster should be there by tomorrow or friday. the damage doesn't look that bad- mostly bumper, grill, and radiator. but, from past exp, german cars are just damn expensive to fix. even just a grill or bumper costs an arm & a leg. unfortunately, i also found out the lady involved retained a lawyer. so, i'm a bit nervous about that- even tho she was physically fine/ coherent and her damages honestly weren't that bad. my insurance co said they'd handle it and told me not to worry at this point. what bites me is that she couldn't even speak a word of english. so i'm using my connections at the immigration & naturalization services (INS) to find out if she's an illegal alien or not. and, if so she's in for a surprise...

sorry to hear the news Jorge. My father had his first heart attack back in 88, when he was in his early 30's. He had 3 additional heart attacks through the years before he passed away. This is a life changing event, for everyone in the family. I wish you the best.
Gerry, did you exchange information with the lady after the accident? Did she have a CA drivers license, insurance?
On our last trip through Idlywild, we had that incident with the FC and a full size truck. The truck had several people, all of which were illegal. We called the police so that we knew what to do....he said, just continue on our way since there was no way for the illegals to have any recourse. They had no CA drivers license, no registration, no insurance....but the officer just waved them on. ?

she had a ca drivers license and insurance papers with 2 names- neither of which was hers. i know from personal experience that a lot of illegal ppl don't start out illegal- ie they're here on a travel visa, and they get a drivers license. but, after their visa expires they don't leave and their status becomes illegal. she doesn't speak a word of english and that's why i think she's illegal. even my grandma who is like 90 years old can speak a sentence or two in english, and she's only lived in the us for less than 10 years.

As long as the attorney is not Gloria Alred, you should be fine. This is what you pay for, with your insurance. They should be able to handle things without too much trouble I would imagine.
I've been rear ended several times, and on only one of those occasions did the person have insurance. I thought there were new laws about registering your vehicle and showing current proof of insurance.
...But, I guess in your case, the car was registered and insured....just not to the person driving.

Most insurance companies cover the car, regardless of the driver.
It's the car owner's responsibilty, who drives/wrecks the car. The insurance company still covers it, though it may affect the owner's rates/policy.
I think the new registration laws just kicked in recently.

The Demo derby you saw last year was ok... honestly one of the worse I have seen. I saw one a few months back that was one of the best I have ever seen!!! so if you liked the one last year, odds are you will enjoy it again! maybe even MORE!

Kwescott and Snowfl8k might not be there
Speeddemon is selling his car so I doubt he'll be there.
Think the rest of the bunch should be there though. Cesar, you volunteering again?

I'm sure we could swing an install / Rockstar party the following weekend. We've had two successful Rockstar gigs....a third would be great. There are plenty of new songs to play on the Xbox version, as I have downloaded three new song packs, and I read yesterday that there is a 4th now available.
Also, Cesar has the PS2 version with "Return of the 80's"......so, yeah, plenty of music and fun to be had.
@Circle....I'm not planning on going to SS, but there should be a group going down there. You could check into the OC cruise to SS.
