I think the big cable companies are realizing it as well. The IFL (sort of like UFC) just signed a deal with Showtime and the UFC is currently negotiation a HUGE deal with HBO.
Loren: yeah, MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts. UFC is considered an MMA company.

Those types of fights are not those that the public does not want to see a whole lot of. As it is the people complain that there is to much violence on t.v. (Shaking fist in anger)

I've seen his car twice since the install and I just wasn't impressed with how his came out. It looks good but the highs aren't as crisp, the mids just aren't there, and the subs don't hit as hard as the JL's.
At the dyno day, we took a decible meter to the two stereos and sure enough: his alpine's weren't hitting as hard as mine.
Nothing against Alpine, I think they make good stuff but for some reason it just didn't sound as good as the Infinity products. It could all come down to settings or amps used but who knows.

hmm, interesting point of view Unreal. You are right though, UFC IS not making AS MUCH money as boxing is....it's making MORE money then boxing.
The facts disagree with what you're saying:
http://www.ivansblog.com/2007/03/mix...enue-tops.html
Keep in mind another very important fact:
UFC single handedly broke boxing's record for PPV sales. Makes you wonder what the figure would be if you added up ALL of the MMA companies; UFC, Pride, IFL, etc. Hmm....
The facts disagree with what you're saying:
The UFC broke the pay-per-view industry's all-time records for a single year of business and generated over $200 million in revenue during 2006, according to two credible media outlets.
Both the Associated Press and the Wrestling Observer have reported that Zuffa's pay-per-view revenue in 2006 exceeded $200 million, with the Wrestling Observer reporting the specific figure of $222,766,000. As the Observer put it, "UFC grossed more money this past year on PPV than any promotion in history ever has."
Many fans of both boxing and MMA have wondered whether the UFC has already surpassed boxing. The numbers show that not only is the UFC bigger than boxing today, but it's also bigger than boxing ever was from a PPV revenue standpoint. The all-time record year for boxing was 1999, with just over $200 million in combined PPV revenue, and the UFC broke that record by over $20 million in 2006.

There was a special on MSNBC profling such Fighters. The UFC may get a heck of a lot of money but the fighter's do not. The site will show you what the average fighter gets for UFC. A boxer will get millions per fight but these UFC guys do not.

True, well you have to understand that boxing has been around for over 100 years! and mma has been around for probably 20 years at the most. Only until recently are these mma fighters making good money. Chuck lidell will make $250,000 a fight, plus a knock out bonus of 50-100k, plus in their contracts they might even have a certain small percentage of ticket sales as well. Keep in mind, they used to make barely $2000 a fight if they win and that was about 8 years ago. Not to mention the millions they get in sponsors such as xyience, tapout etc. Everyone knows that boxing is still a huge money maker but in the future MMA will overthrow boxing and you will see figures switched around.

some of the UFC fighters make more then you would think.... Talk to guys like Chuck Liddell and take a peak at his 2 ferrari's and Lambo that he has in his Multi-Million dollar house in San Luis Obispo.
