sorry to hear about the bumper keith. there is so much crap on the freeways nowadays that it's impossible not to hit something. one time i drove out to the sb meet there was spilled blocks of wood spread across all the lanes on the 10. i tried very hard to avoid running over it, but since there were pieces in every lane, i still ran over a few blocks and boy- was it loud. there was some damage, but luckily not that noticeable. hope u get the bumper squared away soon and same for erica.

when's the auto show and are u guys organizing a party to go?

I hope you're not being serious Jonathan. We are all friends here and we like to have fun with each other.

I am not sure that someone in an ACCORD has a leg to stand on in an RX-8 forum. Si senor?

Loren, yeah, Casey had the same suggestion...he said to look at my insurance policy to see if there is any coverage for environmental and/or road hazard. You are right, at this point, I have so much damage to body pieces and paint, and my front windshield, that it may be worth a claim. I just hate (as we already saw in earlier posts) when you make a claim, they raise your rates to reimburse themselves for more than what they paid. And in our current climate of 1800 plus homes being burnt to the ground, I'm sure insurance companies are going to be less then welcoming to claims for "natural" disasters.

I woul tend to agree with you as well.

I wanted to say thanks to all who were sneding their support last week as we just made a can a cream corn out of the Miami Dolphins....ahgain, we would ask for your support as we host the Washington Redskins. They have an incredible defense and one fo the strongest offenses in the NFL....wait, that's the Patriots, not the Redskins. Either way, your support would be nice.

Captain Spelchek has found some cause for concern with your recent post.

sorry i cant agree with you on your innsurance point. i understand the enormus amount of payements we make over the years and we never use it, but i have seen the health insurance side (hospitalzations where when it is needed it is always much much more then what you pay this year or the previous years added. given car and house innsurance is much more it pays off when the devastating events happen, yes teh small events do hurt but for some of society it is the only way to go...credit cards work the same way for people (keep buying, min payment)

re: insurance... i think it sometimes depends on how the claim is made. if u u have a dent on the front of the car and one on the back, at least my body shop guy said that unless u claim vandalism in one incident, each piece of damage must be filed as a separate claim.

in other words, it's a dirty, sneaky way for the insurance companies to avoid paying out on these type of claims, because you would have to pay out your deductible TWICE. then, for most ppl they would just pay out-of-pocket to fix it and not let it raise their insurance rates.

like keith said, it's basically skewed in favor of the insurance companies for the most part- even tho i do agree it's better to have insurance still.

if u claim vandalism though, they'll pay it in one claim. but, they aren't stupid either. they'll look at the car and make an assessment. and, if it looks like dents/ scratches that have nothing to do with one another, they might deny it. so, the sad thing is that the only way to ensure that the claim goes thru as 1 claim, you're almost better off taking a baseball bat to the panels u want fixed. that way- it really does look like vandalism and done at the same time.

sooooooo sad.

hey! if i had the money for another 8, i would have gotten right back into one. unfortunately i don't, so i got into something that was a bit more affordable for me.

it just bother's me that this person strictly attacks other people's spelling mistakes and makes no other contribution of any kind to at least this thread.

I will be driving home in a few, and I'll go the 210 so I can go by the Carpal Tunnel. I'll bop him on the head for you.....I'll just have to make up my mind whether I bop the head of the left guy, or the right guy....or maybe just save the time by bopping em both.

FYI Cesar -
That link only works if you have your per page post set to 50. If not, it will send them to a post from a very long time ago.
Here's a direct link to the post regardless of post per page.
