so i beat GH3 on easy and i really like the credits song, "dragonforce"? and also that dover cliffs song is sweet too! trying medium which is more difficult adding that fourth finger but i am doing better then expected. i still have to go back and get 5 star on easy about half are already that and the rest are 4 except for a few 3 .

didn't know it was a secret, dang already almost got as many achivements on GH3 as i have on DDR
You can sign into xbox.com and see you're achievements.
The "Secret" achievement does not show up as secret once you've passed it, instead it gives you a description.

I believe the achievement Keith is referring to is called "Almost Got It".
The description says "Fail a song past 90% completion".
In other words, do at least 90% of the song, then fail.
I did it while playing Rock You Like a Hurricane on expert w/ the sound off.
Failed right at 99% with 4 notes left , but I got an achievement out of it.
Then I passed it the second time for the "tone deaf" achievement .

Sounds good. I just don't have very many games to trade-in.
Here's the actual offer, and the wording will confuse many people.

*********************
Rock Band Trade-up Offer

Trade any games or accessories towards the reservation or purchase of Rock Band (XB360, PS3, PS2) and receive an extra 30% trade-in credit!
Expires: 11/11/2007. Full trade value amount must be applied toward reserve/purchase of title. Offer not good on cash trades. Trades must be in full working condition to receive full value. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Trade-ins subject to manager approval. See store associate for details. No dealers.
*********************

What it means is that if the game you are trading in is normally worth $15 for trade-in, they will give you an extra 30% making it $20.
It's a good deal, but I only have a couple games I would part w/ and probably only get $20 total for both.

Actually, if you're game has a trade-in value of $15 and they give you an extra 30%, that would be $4.50 bringing your total to $19.50.

If you wanted to get a $20 trade-in value after the 30% bump your game would have to be valued at either;

A) $15.38 + 30% ($4.614) = $19.994
B) $15.39 + 30% ($4.617) = $20.007

So obviously, choice "A" would bring you closest to the $20 in your example.
The ideal price for your game would be $15.38462, which would make your final value $20.000001.

FYI - Here's the description of the Tone Deaf achievement.
"Beat any song on the expert difficulty with the games sound options turned down to zero."

As far as your headset, make sure you're batteries are new, and I would try it somewhere else first.
Maybe on a stereo in another room or something. That way you can see if it's the headset or the way it is setup on the xbox.

Not really, I'm waiting for Repliee Q1Expo.
Once she's state side, I may have to put down the D&D cards.

...question.....are "rimes" those small green fruits we put in our Cervezas. I would have said beer, but I've been trained somehow to consider Mexican beer as Cerveza....cause you know, beer and cerveza are not the same thing....

I feel your pain. That Slayer song took about 5 tries for me.
FYI - You need about 95% and 130k points.
I passed it 3 times at 94% and 122k or less and only got 4 stars.
Finally got it to 95% and 131k.
That's also the only song I have left to pass on Hard.
