Patriots were winners.....for more reasons than their victory over the Jaguars.

Other positives......both the Colts and Cowboys lost . Doesn't even make it fair to have the 2nd and 3rd best teams out of the race now.

Predictions:

Patriots will beat up, the already beaten up Chargers.
Green Bay, with their home feild advantage, will freeze out the Giants.

Patriots dispell the Favre Magic and take a win in the superbowl in Arizona and go 19-0....and in the words of Ricki Bobbi.....become the greatest team there ever was.

Erica just sent me an email as she just got off the phone with the insurance company.

She was paying $875 every 6 months for her RX8 and the 99 S10 pickup.....they gave her a quote for just the Mazda 3....$901. WTF?

Someone at work said that the value of the 3 is higher than the 8 - - - Except that MSRP on the 3 is actually lower than blue book on the 8. Still waiting......?

^^ ditto what keith said...

this was GREAT football weekend. the packers seahawks game was great cuz of the weather change. the snow totally crippled seattle and envigorated the packers... not really fair, but hey- that's how it goes.

what i liked specifically about the pats jag game was that the pats showed that they can actually win a game by running the ball, rather than passing all the way. they're not only precise but also versatile. if they keep playing like that, they deserve to win. the other funny thing i noticed is that they are so good that their uniforms don't even look that dirty at the end of the game... <lol>

wow, that's about what i was paying for my 2 cars BEFORE my stupid fender bender. i have to pay an extra $500+ per year now- only because that stupid lady filed for pain ad suffering after retaining an attorney. <sigh> which goes back to my original beef. these things are never fair in life- not to mention our system rewards ppl who are money grubbing and dishonest. i've always been on the receiving end when getting into accidents- which there haven't been that many anyways. and, i never filed this kind of bullshit. and this one time i run into a bitch and that's it... <lol> her car had had only bumper damage and i had a lot more damage than that. go figure.

Got quotes on the Lancer and the Fit....both of those were just barely under what I was paying on my 8....like 50-90 bucks cheaper every 6 months. New cars generally are more expensive to cover than a used car.....but then again, we're talking about insurance here.....sort of a rediculous business of speculation and money gouging.

keep in mind the mazda 3 has a bigger engine then the 8, costs around the same amount, and does it have as many airbags?

yes, it has the same level of airbags....but is not 5 star crash rated for all impact zones...so maybe this adds to it as well?

I just called. I can get both cars covered (8 and the 3) with my policy for 1053.80 (441.50 for the 8, and 612.30 for the 3).

I asked about if I was to drive the 3, what the rate increase would be for me from the 8 to the 3. I currently pay 441.50 for the 8, the 3 would cost me 494.40 (so 50 bucks more per 6 month period).

1053.80 for the two cars sounds better than Erica paying 901 just for the 3.

Whats crazy is that we would save money by having Erica drive my 8, and for me to drive the 3.

i still cant believe those insurance prices!! i pay $70 a month ($420 every six months) on full coverage for my evo, and that includes liability on my RX-7 as well (insurance went way down when i added the rx, so i kept it on there)..... i have good driver discount, and mutiple car discount.. but damn, 900 for 6 months on a mazda 3???

and no, i dont have some crappy company like "adriannas insurance" lol, i use Progressive

By the way the lite flywheel doesn't seem like much improvement.

It was eaiser to squeal the tires in second and third.

I'm sure when I get a chance to drive it more I will notice.

Thanks again Ceasar.

Oh my clutch pedal when from stiff to butter. It feels like a Civic.

if your meaning it was easier to squeel the tires in second and third before the flywheel, thats because you lost some torque when you installed it,

@ Razz.....nope, didn't file an insurance claim on the offroad excursion....just paid to have the paintless dent guy come out and fix the issue. Same guy who pulled the dents out of the Z88M'a fender and all those little dents from working at a school and having to park in those dang lots.

Loren: I saw you bumped your FS thread again. I think you're better off, starting a new thread instead of bumping that one.

I've been subscribed to your thread since you started it but it's been open SO long that every time I get an email alert that someone's posted, I just delete it. What I'm saying is that most people have short attention spans (myself included).
