Sherry...I am having trouble viewing the image you posted, but from what i think I'm seeing, I think you had major erosion of that dirt...now it looks like mud with huge holes in it. Where did all the mud go....I hope not into the pool?

Wind, yup.....you think things are bad at your house, why not drive east on the 210 towards the 15 and see what Cesar, Loren and I are dealing with....house shaking winds.

I hope it stays calm for you.

The wind just frustrates me...more than I can even explain. I think mostly, because if you drive east or west, there is NO wind....but right in this wind tunnel, it is rediculous.

Erica sent me a text message this morning that she was getting sand blasted on her drive to work this morning....in the new car. F-in frustrating.

Loren, The cheapest I found was shipping them through Fed Ex. You don't have to put them in boxes, just tape cardboard over the front of the wheels and drop them off at their distribution center in Ontario off the 15 at Jurupa.

It cost around 25 dollars per wheel to ship them to Northern California.

What I would suggest, is take one wheel/tire down there and get an estimate.

UPS charges you extra if the items are not in a box. I think it was something like 20$ per item.....so four wheels would be an extra 80 bucks above and beyond what they charge for shipping.

Speed used DHL. He didn't box them up, and they came and picked them up from his house. Was a little more than FedEx, but was convenient.

You live in the cheese state. We make more cheese than WI.
More potatoes than ID

hey, why would a G or Z coupe owner run into traction control issues if they went with thr same size rimd and tires all around? does anyone know what the largest tire is i can fit on 19" x 8.5 rim?

Z and G go by the 2.5% rule. As long as the front and rear wheels are not more than 2.5% different from eachother, you are all good. The CPU senses the speed of each wheel, and adjusts when the fronts are more than 6% different speed than the rears. So obviously a 6% difference front to back would throw the computer for a loop

For the track models that have the18" front and 19" rear, you normally do not want to change anything without getting your CPU reflashed.

The computer wouldn't have a problem with your set of Volks Loren because the overall tire height is the same front and back. The problem a computer would have is with a staggered setup since tire height maybe slightly different front to back...so the computer would sense the front wheels going faster than the rear and it would assume it was a traction issue.

This is similar to the reason we can't put our spare tires on the rear of our car....since the spare is not the same overall height as the stock wheel/tire that would be on the other side. The traction control would sense the spare tire side spinning faster than the stock side, and would kick in the traction control.

ugh, that's a good problem to have. Respond with, "I don't see why they wouldn't"

Loren, what offsets are on the stock cars....question them about that. And regardless of their answer, respond with the info about your wheels and comment exactly how Jedi suggest, "I don't see why they would work perfectly on your car."

If they really were good consumers, they would call a local wheel and tire company and ask for recommendations on fitment for their car.

Offset will not match a Z or G.
stock offset on the RX8 approximately 50, while stock offset on the 350z is approximately 30.

we've had this discussion already. Remember, I told you I put a LOT of miles on it the last 18 months?
I'm only driving it 2 days a week at this point, just spent a bunch of money getting my Explorer serviced so that's my primary vehicle at this point.
