buckethead became famous to us with his participation on Guitar Hero 2. His song is one of the most difficult on the Expert level. There is an acheivement for just finishing the song on that difficulty setting. Not having to do it well, just get through it. I think Circle is the only one in this group that has passed the song.

would have figured you'd be playing COD jessie...with the boys at the shop. Noticed the other night that I had caught you finally.....but I think we will all be passed by Shazbot (or as we should refer to him as captain 1000....cause he is the only one with 1000 on COD4)...he is a machine on COD.

...we really need to get together one of these nights....Shaz and I have found so many little cool places to hide and jump to in different levels. It would be nice to see if you guys know of any others. I showed Loren some of them last night after working on the calendar...and we we're able to find another one in messing around on Overgrown.

Buckethead has been around since 1988. He's always been a huge fan of horror films, and started wearing a mask early in his career. He kept the costume because he says he doesn't think people should focus on the person as much as the music. He doesn't really care to have the recognition, and is more concerned w/ people enjoying his music.
As a guitarist yourself, you should really check out some of his stuff.
Here's a link to the song 'Jordon' from Guitar Hero, but it's him playing it live, and it's a little different than the game version.
He created a technique for playing using a custom kill-switch on his guitar. The song 'Jordon' starts off w/ the kill-switch.
Once you get past the strange look, and listen to the music, he's a pretty amazing guitarist. He currently signed under Serj Tankian's label (the guy from System of a Down) since 2005, and has over 22 solo albums so he's been around awhile.
Check out his wiki page for some info

Here's the Youtube 'Jordon' link.

hmm, i listened to the utube song, and i can appreciate it for what it is. but, if the 'jordon' song is representative of his overall style, then it's probably not my cup of tea...

His style is pretty hard to define w/ 1 song.
He's not for everyone, but take a listen to this song. It's called 'Whitewash'.

whitewash is definitely a more traditional, melodic instrumental song. and, it's certainly respectable. i also logged onto the iTunes store and listened to some more of his tracks, since the fidelity is better there. he's definitely not bad. but, maybe it's cuz i've seen & listened to a lot of diff players that i'm not so easily impressed? <shrugs>

dunno if anyone else cares about this... but, i've always thought it was lame that mazda didn't give us a leather key pouch for our blade remote keys- namely because it's a nice key, but it scratches very easily cuz of all the plastic.

anyhow... i went to bmw today to get a new key pouch for for my 323i. after 10 years, the leather one that came with my car was faded & tattered. and, i just wanted a fresh one.

and, while i was there, i noticed they also have a newer, rectangular leather key pouch that's specifically for their new keyless remote keys. i thought it would fit our blade remote key nicely, so i picked one up and tried it out. and, although it's not a 100% perfect fit and can't button shut the way the bmw key can, it's still fits well. and, i think it's great for protecting the blade key from getting scratched up while in my pocket or wherever. the leather is nice and soft, and it grips well.

so anyways. thought i'd mention it in case anyone else is also interested in this.

oh, I have plenty of games...and given my hard drive failure, I think I will focus on a game or two at a time. Cause having two game saves crash it much less heart braking than 15 all at 25-30% completion.
