Jessie: I think it might be time to delete that thread on the Evo Board. Sorry man, but I think most of us prefer the Rotary Only Meet. (You're always gonna be an RX-7 guy to us anyways..)

I appreciate getting all of your responses, but I think it ultimately will come down to what Casey and Jesse want to due, since it is their meet. They started it, they maintain it, and should be able to direct the nature of how the meets develop.
At Loren: I am not considering an EVO anymore. This is one reason why I decided to take my car in to address the transmission issue. I am keeping my car for the near future.
At our group: We have consistent cruise routes. We haven't gone to Big Bear in awhile, nor Twin Peaks. We had talked last year about doing Malibu once a year, most likely during the summer months....just wanted to throw that out since there is enough variety to keep things fresh.
San Bernardino, cruise, meet, once a month

The SB meet is by FAR my favorite meet for the following reasons:
1) We ALL share a passion for Rotaries.
2) Great People
3) The drives are for our enjoyment, not for any kind of competition
4) We're safe drivers. I trust you guys enough to drive through those canyons without the fear of getting rear ended.

YOu guys are crazy.
I think Jesse wanted to invite them to the meet to mix it up a little and so that he is not the only idiot out there with a non rotary.
My personal vote is that we keep it rotary only for the time being. but of course when I get an evo my preferance on that would most likeley change. but that is in the future. hopeflully a year or so out.
I know Vipers reasoning was also somthing like "well I have one, you plan to get one, and Keith said he wanted one, so thats 3 of us right there. why not make it a Rotay/Evo meet" and he has a point.... then again I didnt know Keith was not interested in an Evo anymore.

幹他媽!
i have a wedding to go to sb meet weekend... but, since i hate flying/ travelling, i might try to weasel out of going- haahaha- in which case i'll be at the meet. we'll see...
since we're on the topic of runs, just thought i'd mention that Angeles Crest Forest (over in La Canada) is also a fun one if ever you guys ever want to try a new place. (see my earlier post in this thread for pix: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...&page=15&pp=15.) it's kinda a combination of malibu and idly widly, but with wider roads. (and, it connects all the way through over to Crestline, according to jonathan's google map.)
is anyone going to the lax meet tonight?

i completely understand about everything that is said......like i previously stated, i dont see anyone showing up, but i wouldnt mind 1 or 2 to show up on occasion....... i wasnt hoping it would blow up into a huge thing...
and these meets have already become multi-carred meets anyways.... we have a 350z, last meet we had an acura integra, a trueno, and a street bike......i think everything will be fine....
if by some freezing of hell, the evos keep on coming... then ill create a monthy meet for evos and sti's every 3rd saturday of the month lol..... but we will see what happens
BUT! i wont bump the thread, so if nobody responds, it will get lost in the clutter! your voices have been heard

So has everybody voted for the RX8 of the month yet?
You see . . . I voted for speed . . . but now that he is gonna be removing those sprint springs . . . . wont that change the look of his car? So if he wins . . does he have to keep the current springs?

And vote for speeddemon32. Then force him to keep his car LOW!!!!
Looks great that low. And if you do not drive that often anyway, why go for the new springs?

Thanks!
Because the new springs are a LOT stiffer. they would be better for auto cross. trust me, its killing me to go back up. but it really makes more sence.

Personally I can not afford to lower my daily driver to the ground. As proven last week with my coyote disaster. ( still looking for a new front brace, may have to get a new one from mazda ) Had I been an inch lower, it would have been catastrophic.

I'm always up for stupidity as long as at least one of the following is present:
- Coronas
- Margaritas
- Homemade salsa
- RX-8's
- Midgets
- Dance Dance Revolution
- Playoff Football
