oh crap, sorry Loren!! PM me your paypal and I can send funds that way or I can send you a check today via snail mail.
I'm not worried about receiving my calendar, I can always pick it up at the next meet. '
Keith: yeah, dealerships suck when it comes to doing recalls etc. You probably didn't even get your plugs replaced. Check the leading plugs, if those are fouled up, that might be the problem right there.
If the coils are starting to go bad, you might still pass with new plugs. (let the new owner worry about coils down the road)

At this point, I'm not going to start chasing after emissions issues. The buyer still hasn't got back to me, even with the email I sent him about not having to do a smog. I'm not going to go out and spend money on the car right now....

you have any other buyers interested? You could just sell it to the next person and I doubt they'll be as concerned with the smog test

hmm... i definitely empathize with the selling situation.
from a buyer's perspective... if i were shopping for a used car and knew a car i was interested in didn't currently pass smog i definitely wouldn't buy it either. reason-being, there are so many possible reasons for it failing smog. the fix could be small or could be big. either way, it's a problem that eventually i would have to deal with. and, if i'm spending thousands of dollars on a car, and i have so many different car choices to pick from, why would i want to trouble myself by getting into a car that i already know currently doesn't pass smog?
now, if i was buying a fix-er-up-er then that would be a different story. but this is a relatively expensive, high-performance sports car. and, i would already be weary of the car being driven hard/ abused by the previous owner. the smog would be just enough to make me back out. this is specifically why i never bought a used e46 M3... a lot of owners don't take care of the car. and, later on the costs of up-keeping become a nightmare. (hopefully jun doesn't encounter this problem.)
if you can find a knowledgeable buyer who's good w/ cars and doesn't mind addressing the issue of smog, then you'll be home free. but, keep in mind that just narrows the scope of the potential buyers further. the fastest way to sell the car is to aim for the lowest common denominator- ie the average buyer.
just my .02 though...

I know selling rxz88m is so the payment will go away.
But have you considered refinancing your car?
Would a lower payment help the cause? Then you can keep lowering the price as you make payments, and eventually someone will buy it. But in the mean time, your payments would be more than cut in half.
Just a thought

I'm not too fond of the idea....I like the variety of the current games. I'm wondering, like some of the guys that posted comments, why don't they just make the stuff available for download...rather than a whole new game. The great part about downloads, is that you don't have to switch games to play songs. I know there are songs I love on GH2, and those I love on GH3.....but I can't play them at the same time....as I would have to switch disks in the 360. Now, with Rock Band...I have 80 songs, with the chance of ever increasing that as they make more downloads available. Now, I just wish there was a way of making the download list easy to read, or a way of sorting them by songs already purchased, new releases, etc. We have so many downloads now for that game, it is kinda a headache to look through them all.
It would also be nice for them to have an auditory preview of the songs....cause at this point, we google the songs and listen to them that way to see if they are songs we like.
I know Cesar YOutubes them to see what they look like on the game as well.

The GH3 thing sounds cool, but I'm much more into the Rockband songs now. You get 1 song and 4 ways to play it. It's good for competition though.

update...just called. It was a 72 month loan, so the last payment would be submitted in March of 2010.

But, it's not "just" Areosmith songs;
"will feature a bounty of classic Aerosmith tracks, along with tracks from bands and artists that have performed with Aerosmith or were an inspiration to the band."

...and then there is the hassle or trying to keep track, in your mind, which game disks the songs are on.
For example "Jessica", was that on GH2, or GH3, or Rock Band?
And then there is that overlap that has occured as well...some of the GH songs are on Rockband, some are on both GH2 and GH3....
I guess I'm just saying it is hard to keep track of things when they keep releasing whole new disks.

I still say, if it is at all possible, keep the RX8.
You can refinance a car, if that would fit the situation.
If not, you will be safe selling it in summer anyway.
BTW - Mitsubishi EVO X just went to invoice price as the going rate.

invoice = dealer cost
as opposed to MSRP (aka window sticker) which is what they're hoping to sucker you into paying

i've seen a couple of audi s5's in my town as of late. and, wow. for a coupe, that thing is pretty sexy. i'm not crazy about audi altogether, as bmw has my heart among the germans. but it's a breath of fresh air to see audi finally release a sedan/ coupe that's actually not bland. the diamond necklace headlights have got to go though. too ghetto.
