now we're talking about using an RX-8 bumper to practice your slap shot with! take it off, set it on the ground, and you get bonus points for getting it where the fog lights used to go.

I'm almost always available on weekends so just pick one where you don't have an AutoCross event, give a week's notice or so and we'll go from there. (I do have some demands though...)
- BEER!
- Chips & Salsa
- Umm... that's pretty much it, I'm cheap labor.
I really think that new Zaino product could do wonders for ya.
As for the coil packs, wires, and plugs... have you picked out which plugs you're going to run? (the Ultra's I got from RB should work for ya but it's up to you)
- Plugs can probably be ordered through www.onlinemazdaparts.com or sparkplugs.com (I think's that's the site)
- Coil packs: cheapest price I've seen is onlinemazdaparts

I'll go ahead and place my orders for the parts....this way, I'll have an idea of when I will have everything...so then we can then look at the calendar. I'll be going through Mazdaspeed to get my coils and plugs...but probably go with RB for plug wires. I'm a sucker for red.

ah.... well, i guess it's good to know that we need to stick to 91 octane for red lining i guess
also, in keith's case, i was just wondering if polishing first then zainoing afterwards might be more effective at gradually smoothing out the top layer of clear coat that has the blemishes... in combating my spots from mr. clean autodry, jun has had me on a prescription of a once a month light polish with the porter cable. and, it's made a very noticeable difference. (i think i posted some pix a while back.) he pointed out that it took time for the blemishes to get on there, so the safest approach is to gently polish it out gradually- so as not to go too harsh at once. so far, i've been very happy with this method and am continuing with it. just thought i'd throw that out there as a reference in case it might help.

Your issue was getting junk out of the paint, where as, my problem is the sand took away my paint. The best I can do is make it look less dull. The portions of my car that didn't get sandblasted still look beautiful...mostly the rear and passenger side..since the sand was coming across my hood from the drivers side.

earthquake news
earthquake news
You know how they say animals can sense earthquakes before they happen....starnge thing last night is I could feel them coming before they hit. Earthquakes sned out an unusual noise before they hit...never realized that before last night.
In any event, they weren't large enough to force me away form the xbox last night.....
...what a 3.0 earthquake...you can't stop me.
I did receive the "Survived a 3.0 or larger earthquake" achievement last night. The hard part about these types of achievements, is that you have to be logged on when it hits...its all about timing......

Yeah, but think about it this way...most office people aren't that creative....they don't think. They will all take off Thursday and Friday and think they are creative. A truely creative person would take off the Monday and Tuesday prior to the Wednesday holiday....still 5 days off, right?

ahhhh, now I understand what is going on.
I still don't know why this matters in life...it just makes people upset. We should go back to our normal ways of thread life...talking about various things that are funny or truely important (like Michael's ill family member)....because when we just post to post (like our Bottles of Beer song)...the truely important becomes lost in the wind.
I say we concede to the LAX thread....because this is one reason I cancelled my subscription to that thread so long ago....I was tired of trying to keep up on all the one word posts....partially because I am a slow reader (Sadly, I type faster than I read)....well, anways....off soap box.

no worries Keith, it was mainly just a friendly thing between Sherry and I. No real competition to it, no hard feelings.
I'm getting kinnda tired of posting anyways which is why I kept tabbing over to this thread as well. I say cease fire, it has been a fun battle.

...but then again, if all your co-workers are taking the Thursday/Friday off..you can go into work and just sleep as no one will be there to monitor what you are doing...so, you end up getting a 5 day weekend, plus two additional light days of work....

Have no knowledge of Porter Cable beyond the router and biscuit gun I have...and I would use neither on my car.
I would assume that we talking about an orbital-type polisher?

yup, that's pretty much what it is. We could use that to apply it. I haven't used one in YEARS so I'd be a bit hesitant to do it but if Gerry's been using it.... maybe he'll volunteer to do that part?

You guys are just giving me a head ache with all this random stuff. Yeah, I said Random....but this random is a different type of random we are used to seeing in this thread.
I say TRUCE.....or take it out to the streets. My 2 cents.

I was trying to get caught up....I was reading through 6 pages of random thoughts (by Jack Handy.....SNL reference for those who remember). I would respond to a post, and then go back to where I left off....It took me over an hour to get caught up.....remember, I read slow.
