Holy crap bat man! Moved into a new house and I'm there for one week and last night a drunk ran into two of my cars.
I'm still in boxes otherwise I'd show you the pics.
The car that hit us exploded into pieces. I couldn't believe the wheel down the block, the Strut assembly in the road and the fuel filter twenty feet away. His car was leaking a ton of fuel.
One car needs a whole new rear suspension and rear bumper plus body work to the whole drivers side![Frown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I almost put my motorcycle out there.
Now, I have to sue him for a 1,000 dollar deductable.
He was taxting on his cell phone while drunk......

If he has insurance, you shouldn't have to worry about getting money for your deductible.
As long as there's proof that he's at fault. Of course, hitting parked cars should be plenty of proof.
I found out about 2 weeks ago, that if you're hit by a uninsured motorist, and you have uninsured motorist insurance, all you need is a witness, or a police report putting the other driver at fault, and the insurance company waives

I believe the new design should address some of the issues the AFSC was having.

Report: Blockbuster backs Blu-ray
LOS ANGELES — Blockbuster will rent high-definition DVDs only in the Blu-ray format in 1,450 stores when it expands its high-def offerings next month, dealing a major blow to the rival HD DVD format.
hmm, PS3 has blu ray capabilities..

Blu-Ray is cool, and based on the production companies that are going w/ Sony, I figured they'd probably win.
That was part of the reason I was so stuck on getting a PS3.
When it comes down to it, I think the PS3 becomes a very expensive DVD player.
I wasn't too impressed w/ their new game selection, and playing online w/ friends is way better than playing alone 100% of the time on a ps3.
If I rented every movie that I wanted to see on Blue-Ray, I could probably finish watching all of them in a few nights. Compared to playing video games, I've spent over 45+ hours driving on Forza, and at least a combined 40 hours on Spiderman3 and GH2. I still have 5 games that I haven't even opened yet.
Gaming is much more enjoyable to me than watching a movie in HD. Especially since most of them aren't really HD, they're digitally enhanced and upconverted.
Eventually, Blu-Ray players will be cheaper. I'll probably buy one then.
But, I'm sure they will be offering HD 1080P movies through fiberoptics. Then the dvd players will be like tapes/cd players in your home stereo. Especially with harddrive prices dropping like RX8 transmissions, I'll be able to order HD movies on demand and store them all on my DVR soon.

i think everyone had high hopes for ps3, and it's sad to see that it's not doing so well at this stage. the lofty price tag, the obvious lack of games, and the continuing delays in sony's launch of its online gaming capability have been a major setback to early adaptation. additional bad news is that backward compatibility w/ ps1 and ps2 has also been diminished with sony switching from hardware emulation to software- in order to cut costs. (many ppl will be pissed about that, since instead of 100% backward compatibility, it will now only be 75% of the old games that will work.)
but, the platform war really isn't over yet... there are still some games that will keep the platform alive, such as final fantasy. and, i'm waiting to see what the new ratchet & clank and also the new star wars: force unleashed, which are rumored to be ps3-only games, look like in their final form.
if sony does a great job with the online community and stick to their word that it will be forever "free," then this might create an edge over M$- esp after the new crop of games emerge. the price tag for ps3 is also rumored to drop around $100-150 or so by early next year with the product line cut down to only the premium box.
dreamcast was also first to market and had alot of fun games initially, but ended up losing out in the end to PS2 after a year or two. quality control issues and the loss of game developers contributed to their demise...
xbox360 vs. ps3 will ultimately be whoever provides the best online content. and, as of right now, sony's not even in the race yet....

you guys know how much an oem bumper costs? my Bumper got smashed again.
Have to get the 8 fixed again. I hate the 60 fwy. Here are the Before and after pics. Looks like I need a new hood, 2 new fenders, a hood latch and some bending around the hood latch. A bumper, a lot of painting. I think I am going to be sick.... Right now I am just going to shop for parts and get it fixed in like about 3 months. Going to get my RX7 up and running first.
