If you take the turbo away from pretty much any factory turboed car, you have yourself a crappy car. the LOW compression will cause the car to be very slow with no boost. besuides what do 80% of RX-8 owners want??? more power / Turbo.

sticking up for Evo's here, thats not all that fair of a statment. we already covered the turbo part, but its still a very nice AWD car. the Evo is also very stiff from the factory. they doubled the ammount of spot welds in the Evo as they did the regular lancer. the MR has the bilstein struts, and they all have Brembo brakes......

again, I disagree with that statement. even without the turbo its one hell of a car.

with that said.... If the Evo was non turboed and had much less power, I to would never consider buying one.

I think you really just dont like the fact that it has 4 doors????

No I have no problem with 4 doors I just hate EVO, everyone and their mom has one or wants to own one and I have yet to see why. I drive my friends and was not all that impressed. But there are a lot of cars on the road that do not impress me. I think most car manufacturing companies need to get back where they were a few years ago.

jedi must be on camino inspecting clones atm... <lol>

well, i'll just keep checking the thread until i get a better idea who's all going... otherwise, it's a long drive out there and not worth the trip if not many people are going to show up.

Never fear, Jedi is here!
Sorry I haven't been on much today...the CEO to our Bank decided he wanted to come visit my office.

As for tomorrow: It looks like a pretty short list. If we can get Keith and Cesar to go, then I'd definitely be up for it. If not, I'd feel bad for those who have long drives. (scrmn, x-ped, detrich)

aint taxes fun? Waiting till the last minute is even better.
I get about $200 from the state, and owe about $140 to the Gov't. Worked out really well!!!

So what has everybody been up to on this Friday the 13th?

hey guys: I think I'm going to have to pass on tomorrow's cruise. I'm running on about 1.5 hours of sleep and the 14 hour day today just drained me. I don't think I'll be able to get up early enough to make it.

can u guys post a note here to to let me know if u r going? i'll check the board in the am to see what u guys decide. if neither of u guys decide to go, then instead of making the trek out to sb, i think i'll go do an Angeles Crest Forest (in Foothill/ Pasadena) run on my own instead. i've heard it's really fun and kinda like the run we did last time. supposedly it's about an hour up the mountain and there's a coffee shop where u can have lunch.

Well I'm cruising somewhere tomorrow.....even if it's by myself. If nobody else wants to go I'm willing to do Angeles Crest Forest. Or if Michael is still coming I'm fine with 3 8's. Heck one way or the other I'm driving on a moutain road tomorrow. I too will check in the board around 9am. And if anyone wants to call me to let me know of a change of plans my cell is (626)221-2239.

i just got in a car accident about 20min. ago.

2nd one in less than a year...

anyways, this time, i didn't catch air and fly down a cliff like last time, . This time, i got rear ended...pretty hard too.....i pulled over, but the person who hit me kept going. i followed, called 911, gave the operator a description, and met the CHP at the Cheveron station located off the 60 FWY and Heaven. I got the police report filed and everything.

i'm fine BTW. i'm just coming out of the shock, and my back is starting to hurt a little bit.

i wonder if i'll get any money out of that little fiasco.

after this incident, i'm not sure if i'm going to go tomorrow anymore.
