幹他媽!
within 5 min of going downstairs to go to lunch, i saw a ferrari and then 2 lambo's in a row- one white & one yellow. wasn't fast enough to snap pix of the lambos. but, got the ferrari.
and today was a relatively "slow" day in this neighborhood for exotic car sightings. <lol>
enjoy!

the more things change
welcome back young folk.
now new update on car. so i talk my boss into letting me leave the store in the hands of one my clerks for alittle while. so i take off fo the dealer and to xchange the rental i had. as soon as i walk through the door of the dealer my ph. rings, its the service rep. calling to tell me my car is ready. so i go look at the car and they did not clean the ceiling, there grease smeared all over the place so they take it back clean it up and i'm happy to have my car back.
but that's not all....... as i'm getting on the fwy i turn on the radio and it took almost a whole min. for me to realize that my radio, ac and temp display was out. so i turn around take it back, and now i'm in a rental again.... wow what a day...

It'll either be a Vette or the new GTO. (which is cased off the '09 Camaro)

better: I read an article from the head of product development at GM saying he was looking forward to spinning the Camaro off into another car. The original question was whether there would be another Firebird and he said most likely not; he'd prefer to make a GTO.
picture = Transformers movie. Picture that bad boy with a hood scoop and more power.
A lot of things can change from now till then but I'm not exactly in the market for another car right now so I got plenty of time to wait. Gotta keep trying to exploit this great housing market we're in right now.

Yeah, glad to be back in our own bed, even if just for a week. Hoping to be able to get back onto West Coast time by the time we go to Cabo.
Nothing flooded in the house this time. Before I left, I made sure I unplugged all the electronics and shut off all the water valves. All was safe when we got back...just that musty-house-been-closed-for-a month smell.
Erica is on her way to get my first Taco Bell combo.....big Mountain Dew as well...of course.
I put the street tires back on the 8. Erica's car started right up...without any glitches. After putting my tires back on, I tried mine.....started right up. AWESOME.
I hope to get some pictures up...I'm gonna resize a few for now....then maybe spend some time making a Speed Source RX8 skin.....
As for transformers.....if you guys want....maybe we can go see it Saturday or Sunday. Does anyone know if they are showing it on the Imax screens?
Sorry to hear about all the problems Gerry and Michael have been having with their cars.

I'd like a Skyline but the $70,000 price tag isn't very friendly. I can probably get a GTO with higher HP for waaaaay less. Won't be as much fun in the twisties as our 8's or a skyline but still fun.
So did you guys tell Keith we're throwing a RockStar party at his place while he's gone???

did somebody day Rockstar.......you guys are more than welcome to come over......when we're here of course. Transformer movie and then back to our place for some Rockin....sounds like a good plan if anyone is up for it.....?
Car sightings in Europe.
We saw 3 RX8's in total. A BB parked outside of a bakery in Berlin....and Nordic Green on the autobahn followed closely by a Blue 350z the day we rented the car in Germany going from Berlin to Munich...and one WB in Dublin that we saw about 8 times during our 5 days there. We would get excited about seeing another WB, then only to realize it was the same guy . The one in Dublin was right hand drive....cause Ireland is screwy just like England and Hong Kong. The two in Germany were left hand drives. I believe they all come with clear corners and that Rotor brake light in the back.
Other cool sightings. Saw a TVR Tuscan S driving down the Tower Bridge in London...and then another TVR Tuscan (in that purple to green color) driving down another street in London. This was the first time I actually saw and heard one in person. They are fricken low...and sound incredible. I would have taken pictures, but to be honest....I was so shocked by seeing that front end with all the holes cut out....all I could do was stand there, with my feet glued to the pavement and my mouth open in disbeleif.
Saw Two Audi R8's.....one in Paris and another in Munich. The one in Paris drive by before I could even think to get my camera out...and the one in Munich...well...I was driving at the time and had too many things on my mind to get the camera out.
Saw tons of Ferraris....is all cities except Dublin. Didnt really see any exotics there. No Bentlys, Aston Martins, Lambos or anything else out of the norm....Saw some Masseratis.
The Honda Civic SI is nice...saw a bunch, but it looked best in red...took a couple pics to share with you...as well as a Roadster made by SMART. Kinda reminded me of a cross between a RX8 and a MR2...got a couple pics of that to share as well.

Pic1: The Honda Civic SI. This was taken outside our cabin in the Lake District...the timeshare my mom gave us for our honeymoon. This was our 4th stop....right after Amsterdam and Belgium...after our flight into Scotland.
Pic2: The 2004 Smart Roadster. This was taken in the Lake District as well....upon arriving from the train station in Carnsforth (the city we stayed in within the Lake District). We arrived late...so there were no taxis or shuttles. So, I made my way into a local pub for directions and the guy drew me a map on a napkin, telling me...."oh, it is just about a 5 minute walk from the roundabout." Well, three roundabouts and 45 minutes later...we made it to the timeshare. We were so lucky it wasn't raining....so lucky. I think that was the only day we were in the Lake District that it didnt rain. For those who have seen the flooding in England....most of the initial flooding was to the east and west of where we were staying.
Pic3: Erica taking a picture of me in the tower we climbed in Brussels, Belgium. I think it was something like 350 steps or something to get to the top of the bell tower. The view was amazing...but of course, it was raining...so rather cold at the top. The climb and decent inside the tower made me sick.....just continually going in circles. Plus, there wasn't very much room to manuever inside the sucker. makes you realize how small they were back in those times.
Pic4: This was taken in Avesbury....and town about 30 miles away from Stonehenge. Basically, imagine a giant Stonehenge....and then a group of towns people that decided to build there city right in the middle of the giant stone circle. In the pic, you can see the size of the stones...the size of the circle...and if you follow the line around, you'll notice that someone build there house right along the line of the circle. There were many places where you would look over someones fence, and you would see one of the large stones right in the center of their back yard. The sheep like the stones as well....using them to scratch their backs.
Pic5: Hadrians Wall....on the border of Scotland and England. The English built this wall to keep the Scots out. This is much like the Great Wall in China. The original structure was much the same size as the Great Wall. We were a little disaapointed to see it in the condition how we saw it...would have been nice to see how it used to be, rather than what it was. This was the tallest section of the wall we could find. Much of it was only 2 or 3 feet high....and less than 3 feet thick. This was the day that started out so beutifully....but we got poured on...and our little umbrella that we brought was no match. The rain actually was coming down so hard, it broke the umbrella.

Pic1: That same tower in Belgium...this time, me taking the picture down. You'll notice the hand rail as well as the rope along the center, to assist you in your climb. They only allowed 30 people inside the stairwell as a time. I can't explain to you how fun it was to come up along a group coming downwards.....there was no passing zones. You just kinda hung on the rope while they squeezed by you. And it you were unlucky, it was a French person....(they dont seem to know what a shower and/or deordant is).
Pic2: A pis taking along our walk near Hadrians Wall. The country side is just so green everywhere. Pretty yes....but for those who have asthma...or think they may.....you end up sneezing with a running nose all day long.
Pic3: Civic Si
Pic4: Life at the train staion. Just thought I would share some of our experience there...as we did spend a lot of time on trains. This was was in Brugges, Belgium...and we were on our way to Amsterdamn. The weather was nice this morning.
