I can't fully commit for the ride, but I'd be into meeting up at the start maybe. I've got my daughter for the weekend.

Maybe I can convince her into taking the ride with me. That'd be cool.

The run will be at Palomar. Toan will be planning the route, and we will meet at 11am. However... I just realized Chinese New Year is the 18th. Maybe we should make it the following weekend? I know most people celebrate the new year with family, and Toan and I had planned to be with his for that as well.

No not pros, but enthusiasts.

Here's the route. We will meet off the I-15 and 76. Coming from the south, we will turn left at the exit and meet at the parking lot. Don't worry, theres only one huge parking lot and you'd have to be blind to miss it.

From there we will head east on 76 until we reach the hill climb. At the peak, we will stop, talk, take a break then continue on the cruise. The climb will be the toughest part. We will do 1 loop and end at Pala Casino and you guys can decide what you want to do. Here are some maps I stole off socalevo. The first is the entire loop and the second is only the hill climb.

Things to watch out for are other motorists, especially bikers. Stay in your own lane and drive where you are comfortable. Also anyone planning to go, please leave your phone number or PM it to katc10 so we know to wait for you if you are running late.

 

i don't mind changing the date. whatever works for you guys. maybe we can get more people out on the later date.

Being local here, if you guys want to take a drive that has fewer cops, let me know. Before or after palomar . . you have a couple choices on where to go. But the 76, 79, 371, 74 and palomar mtn rd are all covered in either cops or old people. ( casino's all over out here ) WAY fun run, it will just be slow. ( I guess that is good in its own way )

Hey all I got bad news, I will not be able to make it. I am doing the San Bernadino meet because its a memorial cruz for a fellow RX owner who was killed in a car accident. So maybe next month. Why cant we just do these every other weekend that way we dont have to wait so long for the next one?

KAtc or shinkuu, have any ideas on places near for stopping for lunch (before, between, or after) the run?

NgoRX8: theres the casino and theres a cafe at the top. Not really my area but rglbegl might have some suggestions.

There might be some other people coming but i won't add the name to the list until they confirm. hope the conditions will be good that weekend. with the rain we've been getting there must be some runoff and debris on the road.

 

I may be in. I'm also checking to see if a buddy of mine wants to join us (Saleen Mustang S281 SC). I'll commit (or not) for sure in the next day or so.
