Hey, I meant to ask you, where did you get the Rotary volume **** for your radio? I was thinking about getting one (and maybe having the dealership install it for me..lol).

We saw each other today Katc10. Your car looked a lot cleaner. I also went to change my oil yesterday at John Hine and met another RX-8 owner who is also on this forum. I think his screename is Happyboy? Not sure. But hopefully he will be at the next meet. Well, just in case anyone cares. Take care guys.

I am moving to the La Jolla/San Diego area in August from Columbus, OH so I thought I would introduce myself. Nice to see that fellow 8 owners get together for a meet and cruise once in a while
Are there any affordable insurance carriers in CA? I got a quote from my existing carrier and my insurance rates with Progressive would rise from $380 a half to $840 and that is with 100k PD, 300k BI and $250 comp and collision ded.

If you are in the military, you should definitely go with USAA. They are by far the best. Great customer service, great perks of membership, fast response to claims, great renter's insurance, etc., etc......But you have to be in the military, or married to someone in the military. I am not sure about any other insurance company, but I wouldn't need to look since I LOVE USAA!!!!!

if you're not in the military, there are a couple of companies i'd recommend.
wawanesa - don't have it but their customer service and prices are supposed to be stellar. they only insure good drivers and they're only on the west coast.
mercury - i have them. great rates, though i hear their customer service is not that great. luckily i haven't had to make a claim in a long time.
good luck.

Thanks for the other two leads, I will definitely look them up and do some comparison shopping. My cost of living just about doubled compared to Ohio and at first I thought about selling the 8 but I can't imagine living with all these twisty roads and not having it to drive.
