hey...by the looks of it, even if I came you already have 12 donuts spoken for...damn. If you buy a bakers dozen, I may be down.
But really though, I'm gonna cruise in with the San Bernadino guys. They want to leave at fircken 6 in the morning. But now that I read this post, Cho said the event starts at 9:30.....that means we (Meaning San Bernardino dudes) be sitting down there for a long time....we'll get good parking though

hehehe... btw, when he said "great parking" that's only if you want to be in the main lot.. to show off your car. If you think you want to stay all day and park in the main lot, so be it. If you just want to get there and look around, come meet wiith us. As long as everyone gets there before 9:30 ENTRY into the parking area/Sevenstock guys will let us into the parking lot, then we're cool. Even the people that came later in the afternoon had a chance to park on the street across from Sevenstock (The street side where everyone waited to get into the parking lot).

Ok, once again, we'll be at the Cerritos Mall in front of Macy's facing South street side of the parking lot... I'll be there around 7:30am. Leave promptly at 8am. We'll take the 605 South to 405 south freeways... it's a bit more scenic to drive down to. If some unfortold circumstances happen, we can take the 91 freeway to the 5 to the 55. Sometimes this way can get a bit congested, so I wanted to avoid this route.

Hope to see some of you party peoples there....

If you would like to GUARANTEE parking in the main parking lot to show off your car, please note...

* You may want to get there earlier than us, but it's not necessary... though there would be about 10-15 spots for RX-8 cars maybe. If you think your ride is pretty good (something to show us, because why would anyone want to show a stock RX-8 now... :P) then be my guest and park in the main lot.

* You will not be able to leave no matter what if you do park in the main lot until after the raffle... which is later in the afternoon. I think some people tried to make excuses to leave the lot before... but unless it's a life and death emergency, you wont be able to leave... you'll be crushing the throngs of people walking by the cars.

* Oh ya, people will be around your cars if you park in the main lot. So if you're an owner that gets pretty scared when strangers walk by, then main lot show area may not be for you.

*Bring some cash, get some Raffle... support the cause, Besides, there is a frickin Turbo being raffled this year!!

Do we have to park in the main lot? I'm not staying the whole day, so I want to be able to leave.

Park outside the lot if you have to bail out early but your car won't be seen much and more ripe for theft/vandalism(Total B.S.!)

Cars start lining up across the street(and around the block!) about 8:30am. Expect more Irvine Po-Po presence this year other than one officer and an explorer scout to arrange street-crossing to the lot from across Red Hill Ave. They bitched alot last year to IPD dispatch about needed support. They know the numbers this year.

Get there early, bring water/hat/sunblock and maybe a lawnchair. Looks to be another warm one, though not as hot as last year per forecast.

Mazda R&D is in the middle of nowhere. No one around to steal anything.

No thieves... if there are.. lock your doors and windows, only thieves would be other Rotary owners. I know what I would do if I see another rotary owner try to steal a shiftknob or something... give them a Rotary Guillotine or a Rotary Kimura (Pride reference).

Anyhows, there's parking in the back of the Mazda RnD area.. so don't worry.. or park on the street side... no biggy. That's the same side people will be lining up anyhows to get into the back lot... and when that lot fills up, people park on the streets.

If you want to park in the main lot, just make sure to make a point to the guy/gal in charge of letting people parking in the main lot. They'll let you in, and if it's anything like last year... people can vote which "Rotary Vehicle class" is the best... whether it be the RX-8 class, or the RX-7, Cosmos, Rotary Trucks, etc etc..

Like I said, I plan to leave in the middle of Sevenstock to pick up a friend that has his FD stuck at the garage because of some engine issues... then coming back for the Raffle. The Raffle is a must
