SF Bay Area Open Invite: Mazdaspeed skirts and Racing Beat exhaust
Currently plan is to have another open invite on Sunday the 18th of this month. Murix plans to install a Racing Beat exhaust and we may have another person with MazdaSpeed side skirts they want to install.
As before we'll start at 1pm in Hayward. PM me for directions. Bring drinks/snacks if you like but by no means is it expected. We still have a six-pack of Heineken from the last event.

Update: looks like mrtux has both the MS front bumper (with fog light brackets) and side skirts. So we'll be doing all those body parts that day.

Cool! More installs to learn :D
Mrtux wanted a shock sensor installed. I think cgrx is going to install it for him this weekend. I just thought it would have been a good lesson for everyone who's going to this meet. It's one of the things I can contribute

If mrtux and cgrx/yourself are willing to do it on the 18th then I don't mind learning myself. Whatever we can do to increase the general knowledge base.

I think I can go. I can tell you all about the shock sensor. I had a hell of a time installing it because of my large hands, and the awkward angles you have to use in order to get into that little space.

mrtux has a stock bumper for now, just needs the skirts done. I installed the shock sensor today, but it doesn't work !
I swapped the black sensor/control box from my shock alarm system with his and it works fine???? WTF

turn the sensativity **** up ?
or did you get the Dioed in the wrong way? it says if you hook it up wrong you will damage it.. so either its defective from mazda.. (not the first time) or you some how fried yours during the install.. take it to MAzda make them give you a new one. Now that its installed they have to fix it under warrenty

It is defective.
I made sure to install the diode the correct way. I've installed them before. After I left, mrtux read something about Rosenthal not accepting returns on electronics. The **** was fine. When the system lights up it is registering a "shock"
Hopefully it works out....

i'm waiting the return on the replacement black box. and the front bumper came in today just sitting in garage with the other parts lol. looks really clean and sturdy im impressed. i woulda thought they would continue the grille behind the middle duct of the bumper all the way to the top behind the black bar but i guess not...now i gotta find replacement grille and those "adhesive tape grille mounts " (behind around the duct), so i can fill in grille material where the black bar originally was...the installation instructions seem easier than the side skirts...i'm tempted to install it right away but i'd have to retake it back out for the grille and other stuff...i'll see this sunday.

No prob. I'm able to do it myself but a second pair of hands to hold the new exhaust up while attaching the hangers is really helpful. However that's something basic enough that your wife could help you on. Good luck with your move.
