SFV Rotary Garage

I have many questions, issues, and thoughts regarding this vehicle that I would like to communicate in person versus over the web imporsanally.

I don't now mucha bout the rotary or this car in general and I would liket o become more versed in basic maintanance and upgrades.

Not many people know about this car, and can't offer or contribute much help.

I would like to meet with a group of guys who own this vehicle or know much about it, every now and then to compare, share and contribute.

Im sure we all could join forces and help each other with our vehicles to accomplish our goals much quicker, efficiantly and at a lesser cost.

I currently have a 2005 Mazda Rx8, White.
It's a 6 SPeed, Idk if it's a base or sport.

It has no spoiler, no sideskirts, no front lip.

It currently has 32,000 miles.

Issues I have with it:

Hazards, and door ajar sign trip out in the rain.
Tire preassure sign keeps turning on.

I need to do a tune up, new tires, and breaks as well as springs and a few suspension things.

My Name is Luis.

I look forward to meeting you and hanging out, and cruising together the mountain passes, and the long straight roads near the ocean

Does anyone here have a garage?

^ lol at breaks instead of brakes

But welcome to the club =]

Sounds like we have similar cars, mines an 05 WWP m/t and its the base model but i added the factory mazda spoiler the week after i bought it lol.

You could start with the spoiler if you want. I personally just prefer the mazda one on the sport and GT, you could actually start with that, Elite Spoilrs is where i got mine. It came paint matched with installation directions and shipped for $199. Installation was very easy! Took me and my friend about 30-45 mins because we kept debating on where to line it up to be perfect lol.

Every 2nd or 3rd time that you fill up you need to add a little bit of oil, these rotaries eat about 1qt of oil between oil changes.

When you get in your car in the morning and its cold (im in SoCal too and it hasnt been very warm) you should sit in it and let it warm up to operating temperature before you drive off or you may damage the Apex seal and once thats gone bye bye engine, hello broken bank and tears ='[.

Your fuses most likely have gotten wet like alot of other peoples in SoCal because of all this rain.

What's up, you're near me, Im always kicking it in sylmar.

How long have you had your rx8? how are you enjoying it?

Do you hit the canyons?

I always sit in it and warm it up for looong time lol, it takes forever to warm it up, but it's worth it.

I want to do some visual upgrades, but first i want to get the mechanical out of the way, and before upgrading i need to have it running fine and dandy ha ha...

takes time, patience, effort, and moneyy...

we should kick it some time
