Actually I find driving different cars can help a lot. It can help expose some of your bad habits. Also, it's not like our cars are drastically different.

I just looked at the Nov 26th event.....if Pax is truely running after BSP...or anywhere near it....you guys are more than welcome to try the setup out. You and Isely interested in running PAX together? This way, I can get feedback from both of you at the same time.

You cover my entry fee...and Isely covers Erica's?
EDIT: As long as you guys promise not to beat me too badly in my own car

Thanks for the offer... But I will win the RX8 cup in our Bstock car. I don't need a SM car to win.

true...I have driven a different car for awhile...mainly my car through all the changes that we have made to the vehicle since starting in STU with no suspension and stock Potenzas. I have only two (or is it three) events with the car in it's current setup. I'm fairly confident that I wont' be making any other changes (maybe an alignment). Maybe after getting feedback from the both of you...let me know how the car handles with the current alignment settings asyou guys will know more about the car than I will in how it handles.

Different....my car is about as different as it could be from your...yes? Of course all the mods I have done have really done little more than add weight and made the car sound faster In truth though, I think you will feel the difference in the tires though. I think the 285's and the wider wheels make for a slightly different driving experience.

Well, they are still both RX8's on race tires. What I meant was I doubt there will be any big surprises swapping cars. Not like my first couple runs trying to drive an Elise.

I figured Isley would want to drive his own car. He is too chicken to change it up for once.

Now that i think about it if you want my "expert" advice on your car setup you should pay me to drive it.

Wow, 26 posts in here this morning. New record?

Keith, if we can make the co-drive happen on the 26th, that would work out great. I will probably be visiting family in LA anyways and would hit the CalClub event on my way back down to SD. Would be really nice to not have to haul all the racing crap with me.

yeah, if PAX or SM is running like you said, we can do the co-drive thing.

from what I see
http://solo2.com/eventpage.asp?eid={7D694BC8-BB65-4FF1-8706-7417F9484B2B}

BSP runs 1st, and Pax runs 1st after lunch....works 2nd after lunch. I am willing to wait around after lunch so you can run in PAX. I wouldn't need to stick around to see you work

Would you be getting there in the morning to register. I have never registered a car for 3 drivers....do I just tech and get three stickers...I would need your number and everything in the morning yes/no....or you could come at lunch and re-tech the car with your number. Either way, fine with me.

Every time I look it says BSP 3rd, PAX 4th. I will get there mid-morning, by like 10ish so we will have time to take care of tech. Yeah, we just need to get 3 stickers.

Sweet... I was having a hell of a time getting the MaxQGPS data system to work. Turns out the HP PDA I bought has some newer software than the MQ was setup for. I hated the idea of have a $300 PDA for no other reason than for the data system. So I bought Jennifer a Palm treo 700 with Windows and everything works perfect together. She was wanting a smart phone anyway so I killed two birds with one stone.

You can get the software for free from the website and I can try to email you the runs. I missed my first run but got the rest.

I do it for the workout. Hauling all that crap (storage bins full of cleaning crap I don't use, spare lug nuts, torque wrench, breaker bar, tool set for I don't know what since it's a brand freakin' new car, gloves, etc.) out of the garage, covering the rear seats with moving blankets, carefully placing the 710s on the blankets, storing all that crap I don't use into the trunk, storing the jack in the front foot well, pulling all that crap out of the car at the site, and swapping tires is a good workout! It's even better when I shoehorn the EZ-Up on the front seat. Why arrive on site refreshed and well rested when you can be exhausted before the course walk!
I've never considered driving to events on race rubber. Never did it with the BFG-R1s, the V700s, the A3S02s, or the V710s. The risk of damaging the race tires on the way to an event pushed me to accept the routine. But then again, a flat tire enroute would probably mean not getting to the event on time anyways. Maybe it's time for a change.

sounds like we are doing a lot of this for nothing....it may make it easier on all of us to do the swap at our homes....be a lot safer for the rims we leave lying around....
