If any of you guys are interested in a fun event the OCR PCA group still has some open spots for June 25th at the Fair plex. The Last PCA event I went to I got 15 runs. They are a very laid back group.

the way they post those times can get a little confusing for someone that does not know. they post the time COUNTING the cone.

67.418+1 (was 65.418 +1 = 67.418)
65.504
66.671+1 (was 64.671 +1 = 66.671)

:D

Just to clarify...

One of my times was posted wrong.
It didn't change my position in the list, but real time are as follows.

74.508 72.097 71.046 71.046

The 68.943 was an instructor run that I had one of the guys take after I did two runs.

@ Ulllose -
I waited in my car another 20mins before I got to run.

Hey guys I think we need a points system for the RX8 cup. I like the SCCA prosolo system:

1st 20
2nd 16
3rd 13
4th 11
5th 9
6th 7
7th 6
8th 5
9th 4
10th 3
11th 2
12th 1

Also how many events is this going on for?

rest of the season.

points system sounds kinda cool. looks like you got your self 40 points.

I will make a spread sheet that has everyone on it.

how about worst 3 finishes dont count. (makes it so you can miss events)

I agree, but I thinks the points should go more like this and only for yesterday's event.

1st 20
2nd 16
3rd 13
4th 500
5th 9
6th 7
7th 6
8th 5
9th 4
10th 3
11th 2
12th 1

I already dont have the light flywheel, pulleys, springs and rear bar of some of the 8s..... I am sure I weigh more than Keith and now you want to slow me down.... Full tank of gas next time, or I could run street tires if these 80 run tires are not dead enough.

Yeah, how much advantage do you BSP guys need? ULLLOSE was already handicapped by the crappy course conditions in the first group. It was barely drizzling when we got there early in the morning. If Casey ran a 64 sec run scratch, the times are getting mightly close.

Now for us stock guys, we got no hope.

You got to hook up mp5.... He was still in a RX on sun.

If you have less drop events it will help the rest of you as I will miss more than any of you with out of town races. I would say if it is 10 or more events drop 2 is ok, less than 10 events I would stick with 1.

yeah well what can I say, I need the intake, flywheel, pulleys, springs, sways, just to even get close. Jasons 10 years experiance and driving skills really show.

in my defence, I still have stock heavy wheels, and stock heavy exhaust. also keep in mind I have a whopping 4 races under my belt now.

none the less, practice still makes perfect, and I know this.

yeah but it is RX-8 cup, not RX cup. trust me I want to, but I dont think that would work out. I would then have to include ALL rotarys that are there, and that would be way to hard.

I belive there are 9 events left.
how about a vote, all in faveor of 1 or 2 events?
(and yes you are right, the more you miss, then more it helps us local boys out.)

If there are 9 left and we have had 2 that would make it best 9 out of 11 which sounds fair to me.

For the record I will say that all three of you, Jason, Keith and Casey are doing great for the amount of time you have been at it. It is a tuff sport to master when you only get 3 mins a month. It never hurts to have someone to help you go in the right direction with your car and driving tips, but a lot of it just comes down to raw skills.

Thank you, and for the record I would like to say that both of you Jasons have made this a much better experiance. I really thank you for all the help and tips you have given me/us. I dont know what we would do without you.
one of these days I would like to get Isley in my car with me for some pointers. I obviously have a lot of time I can pick up out there. I would also like to see how you would drive my car. :D

on a side/same note, you can really see a differance in driving skill when you get Isley in any car and he can pick it up in 2 turns.

hell when I practice on street tires, I drive like an idiot now. I cant seem to figure out how to slow down out there any more. Race tires really "cusion" stupidity. I think it would take me a full day running on street tires to remember how to drive on street tires again. :/

Damn, no love. I would've driven an RX8 if I had one. Not like my +2 time in a 17 year old car on street tires would give me much points. Although it looks like if I would've cleaned it up it the time was good enough for the STS2 win. Granted James was battling fuel starvation for his runs.

Anyways, there's no reason you have to extend the cup to every rotary or even every RX8 out there. I'd say only people who participate in this thread...
