I wonder if we could get away with renting just one or two cars? if it were a practice day (like we are talking about.) then we would get a total of about 12 runs. (sometimes more) if there were 6 people that is 2 runs each.
two cars would be 4 runs each.... kinda like a race day at SD.
2 cars = 24 runs / 8 people is 3 runs each.
or you could "multi driver" 1 car and get 24 runs on 1 car. we all still get 3 runs but in the same exact car. that would be awsome.
will they let that many drivers drive the car? do they even care? I would think as long as the car does not get more runs then were paid for who cares. (kinda like when Jason would come and drive my car for a couple laps at a practice)
or we could get 2 cars and multi driver both of them.... total of 48 runs (or so) then I KNOW we would have enough runs to get everyone at least 3 runs. opf course take what ever total cost is and devide that by the number of people.

the rules sound good with me.. Though as a "bottom of the lister" i am sure it won't really afect my standings too much... I guess I will just have to wait for the next evolution school so I can catch up to you guys.

Here's an alternative option for an "Enterprise Cup".
We could rent a total of 4 different cars...and then give everyone the same number of opportunities to race each car....then we could give you points according to your time in each vehicle.
I was thinking:
Miata
CTS
Grand Prix
Cobalt
For each car, we would list down the times in order of quickest time...and award points in the same manner we provide points in the RX8 Cup. (Quickest time of the day in that car earns 20, 2nd fastest 18...etc.)..we would do the same for all 4 cars.
If you had the quickest time in each car, you would earn 20 points (x 4)....80 and you would be the winner....
but it is unlikely that the same person would be fastest in all 4 cars. We could give each person 4 runs in each car....
You could only win points for your fastest time...even if all four runs are the top four times for the car.....
Just an idea.
as for signing up multiple drivers.....they just want to make sure there are people to work the course....and that you get a wristband.....I doubt they care who is driving the car....There is so much swapping that occurs how would they even know.

good idea, but we will be starting a new thread for the 2007 season. I will post the 2007 indexes and rules on that thread.

alignment, yes....but settings that would be good for my daily driver, as well as good for the once a month track day are a must.
What are your suggestions for a setup that would be good for daily street use, as well as reasonable for track?
Too much camber, or extreme changes to toe in would want to be avoided.
I have NO idea what the settings are right now.

4 cars would get expensive.
how about -1 to -1.5 degrees camber all the way around.
0 tow in the rear, and towed out 1/16" in the front.
sound like a decent daily driver setup for a car that hits the track for 3 minutes a month?

If you only go -1.5 you might as well of stayed in BS, we get that much. For a street race BSP setup I would go with -2 front and rear, with zero toe rear and 1/16" total toe out front.
For a serious setup I would go -2.5/-3 front with -2 rear, zero rear toe and an 1/8" total toe out front.
I drove my Corvette every day with -2.5, and to all the events for three years with that much camber and a 1/4" of toe out. When the tires get worn down to 50% just flip them over on the wheels, you will still get the same total miles out of them.

thank you for the setting advice....I will consult with Erica to see if this is something we want to consider..and whether we would do this prior to a practice day to see how it works.
I do put around 30k miles on my car, so tire replacement costs...even having them flipped on the rims, is to be considered...as well as my extreme fear I have everytime I have tires remounted on my Volks....things seem to happen to my wheels when I hand over my keys to some monkey at a tire shop....even those monkeys you recommended down in Chino Hills.

well..... -1.5 is by far better then a factory setting. I would like to see him gget as muchas he can, but I know he wanted to keep as much of a streetable setting as he could.
I was running about -1.5 degrees before I did the race alignment. I wore through the street tires (on the inside) in about 9,000 miles. but bear in mind that was also several burnouts which will of course add to the tire wear.
like Jason said, you could always flip the tire once it got low.
.... it's all up to you.

picture is hard to tell that you are rolling over on the tire, but yeah, you could always use more camber. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Picture acually shows that you are receiving a LOT of grip from those left tires.
