So what do you guys think??Should we make this first one a 'first come; first serve' or take no chances and reserve our spot??

Just making sure this makes it to this page

Chase: good point. If we do the 'first come; first serve' there will be NO GUARANTEE that you will get food. It will be on a BYOB basis which means a lot of people could bring food OR very few people will bring food.

i think byom sounds good cuz then everyone is guaranteed to eat and we dont have to buy a bulk and someone not get much or thier share (besides thats alot for a bulk alot coming out of sumones pockets )

Chase: click the link - there are more than 5 different picnic area's to choose from. Last time i went there (about a couple of weeks ago) it didn't seem all that packed at the picnic area's.

We might get lucky but then again - we might not. I will be checking periodically during the week to see how packed it gets.

alright, now that I actually read the 1st post, I can actually post something.

Likes:
- New starting point ideas
- New ending point: most of us are lowered and would never make it into our old parking structure.
- The idea of being able to organize this a little better and get more for our money. (ie; HBBC was good but not all that great. Remember that one table waiting over AN HOUR for food?)

Concerns:
- Attendance can vary drastically so cost to reverse could fluctuate.
- Keeping track of who paid and who didn't.
- Food: Are we buying food in bulk in advance and Paris and a few others are transporting all of it?
- Booze: pretty sure it's not allowed but you know people are going to want to bring it so we'll need to be VERY careful with that.

I vote for 17D as it has the bbq pits so we can easily grill food without having to transport some kind of portable bbq. The only downside is the $100 to reserve it. How are we going to handle that?
I think we DEFINITELY need to reserve a spot, no sense in getting all of these cars together and then arriving at the destination only to find out that there's no spot for us.
Not exactly easy to detour 30-50 cars to a secondary location.

20 people @ $10/car is $200 (advanced math ftw lol) which is enough to reserve the picnic area and buy some food. My question is will there be a parking fee in addition to the reserved picnic area?

You may have to just go for it and see the turnout. If you can't get enough cars we may have to eat the cost but if it ends up being a good cruise then subsequent cruises should have the same if not more interest.

That said I don't know if I will be able to go on 6/26
