I run up an down Palomar fairly regularly. I'm in the San Diego rx7 club and the club also does the occasional run. Are you in/with a club?
Where in SoCal are you referring to? (Cal is a pretty big place...)
I just sold my FC...

Nope - but check out the SoCal RX club - they have regular meets and occasional runs, should not be too hard to find folks closeby to go on runs with you. www.socalrxclub.com
I'd check the "West" forum both here and on www.rx7club.com

Hey guys/gals, the SoCal RX Club is having there/our annual cruise. April 24 so set the date aside and join us. Most of the details are set but I expect minor adjustments in a day or two. Stay tuned at socalrxclub.org

while i'd never admit to driving in any particular canyon (the 5-0 are everywhere....) uh... there might have been an rx8 or two on Angeles Crest/Tujunga, and the Santa Monica Mountains.... both great canyons regardless of what you drive.
