sounds like dead battery

why would an alternator "burn out" from a jump?

I don't know.... I jumped it last year when I had the same problem and it killed my alternator.

But why would my battery be dead if I didn't drain it by leaving something on? all I can come up with is that my alternator is dead and suck the life out of the battery like it did last time.

was the alternator replaced or rebuilt?
rebuilt units can seriously suck depending on who rebuilt it.

if its an MT, go push start the car

turn steering wheel all the way to left, then to right. turn off car, turn on, light should be gone.
drive to autozone, test battery and alternator for free.

Now what you do is trade the car with me for a Camry and you'll never have that problem ever again.

mmm it all depends if its a replica or not, cause replicas take longer fitting so it costs more at the bodyshop, id do my research and find a legit bodyshop with reputation around your area

my lip kit was fitted by john and myself. Tedious work only because i'm **** about fitment (heh i said ****) The sides were kind of a pain but the front and rear pieces of my kit fit like OEM. Knock off ish is usually pretty crappy. Authentic is a lot more forgiving and easier to work with. Fitment is pretty much dead on too but you pay to play.

It can easily cost over a grand to have a bodyshop fit and paint just a bumper if you take it to mobworks or somewhere nice like that.

If you take your paint code to home depot I think they can mix you a can if you want to paint yourself.

if you want it done right, excpect to pay upwards of $1,000 for a full body kit.

no offense but if that sounds like too much then you shouldn't even be buying a body kit as you'll only ruin the look of the car by replacing body panels that FIT and are color matched with parts that fit terribly and the color is off.
