We don't have smog check out here. We have to go for Emissions every two years though. So, we just pop our cat back on, wipe the ECU, put some miles back onto the ECU, then get tested

Chase changing exhaust won't affect you for smog. If you take out your cat then definitely yes

PA has one of those every year, and I think I'm about due for one of those...I need to look up VA policies about emission checks...

I don't think I have ever heard the full AP exhaust. Does it get raspy at 4k?

I had a gutted supercat and the AP catback. IMO it did not sound raspy. When I am just cruising in 6th on the highway, I could barely hear it, even with the windows down. I could hear it just enough to let me know it is there and sooth my soul. But, when I wanted to get on her WOT, she would scream and let everyone know I'm comin. If I was someplace I didn't want to be loud, I would just shift at low RPMs.

I need to complete my full RB exhaust system but mine will be slightly custom. (some at the photoshoot heard my brilliant plan for this)

Racing Beat Intake ----> Racing Beat Header ----> Racing Beat Dual Resonated Midpipe** ----> Racing Beat Exhaust
The only thing I'm missing is the midpipe but that'll get done some time in 2010. Ugh, this is gonna be an EXPENSIVE mod year.

** This will be a custom RB midpipe that will require some planning but should be epic

the forums are pissing me off!!!

I bought the midpipe and catback from a fellow forum member for $500. They were 6 months old and didn't have many miles on them.

Yes, the AP can melt your shrouds, but I usually hear that from people who are tracking. I personally, just left my shrouds off. I liked the look better cause you could see more of the tips. If I wanted to keep my shrouds, I would have had to cut a little out of the back of them cause the back of the tip was resting on the back of the shroud. But, some people have put the exhaust on with no shroud fitment issues.
