That's sorta the same in my case, I had no idea that there was a 4-port or 6-port version of our cars until a short while after.

That's because they're running an incredibly ridiculous amount of boost along with larger seals. Oh, and an entirely different transmission.
Also, it's probably doing 1mpg.

lol, pretty soon there will be ones with 400+whp all over the f'ing place, we just need the money I for one am shooting for 400ish, maybe 200shot of Nawsss and stuff before I get a mazsport turbo.......if not I'll just wait till i get a turbo

Spartan....you have a 2004 AT? my friend had one (he sold it and bought a 2003 g35, yea he's ******* stupid) we went to a dyno once, for my 6AT and his 4AT, his dynoed around 148whp and mine dynoed 165whp........my MT right now dynoes 203whp without nitrous and 235with nitrous, I'm sure you can search up the dyno I posted somewhere =_=' so thats about the amount of power difference you're looking at.

ps: if you really want a manual, getting a used renny engine+tranny = 3-4k, labor and misc = 2k most so you're looking at 5-6k............Trading it in = 2-3k out your pocket...........please be sensible!!!

btw my clutch is starting to get alot less stiff, like its much easier to push now, maybe I'm just developing massive leg muscle?

The only problem with getting a new engine and transmission and going full manual. Is the clutch pedal... thats why I was asking about the clutchless. I am sure I can deal with the pedal but I would rather not chance it with the condition of my knee.

If I did get a new engine and stuff I have a friend that could be able to do it so It would probably cost me just close to cost... AND I could learn how to rebuild engines myself :D.

As for trading it in I realize the loss thats why I'm not planning on it. Also with the 4+k i have already put into it. lolol

Thanks again Taj for all the info.

California transmission does clutchless trannies, along with many other top tier Tranny shops

however, they will charge you an arm and a leg for it..............

what I quoted for 7k was for a racing manual tranny cost = = not a clutchless one @.@

the cost would probably be close to 10k, but they will charge you shitload more cus they think you uber rich and ****

if you really really really want it that bad,I suggest you look at the MR2 spyder's semi-automatic tranny, but I doubt it would fit

my friend's dad is paralyzed from the leg down, so he uses a clutchless hand driven MR2, its a semi-auto tranny and is pretty cool, I think you want about the same correct?

Yah, thats why I was saying I was looking at 10-15k earlier in the thread. I guess I could look into and see what I can find. Maybe look at the MR2 Trans... But thanks again for all the help. Are you going to the Tustin Meet Tomorrow? If so maybe we can talk more about it in person.

thats basically what is it my friend

if you look at it, an AT tranny is just a dual-clutch manual transmission with an automatic gear shifter which is controlled by an automated computer system!

on the MR2, the clutch button is by pushing down the shifter, and you have to let of the gas, if not the car stalls lol

Yah I have heard there are clutchless trannies that have the clutch as a button on the Shift ***.. Which would be my ultimate goal.. But like Taj said they cost a **** ton.
