I think it's better if you total it, that way you can buy another 8. How's the frame? You don't want a car where the insurance adjuster thinks it's better total it.

 

Frame is straight, alighnment is straight, mechanically sound, it is just cosmetic damage. I had no idea the estimate would be that high. It needs a new front bumper, 3 quarter panels and a rear bumper. who the hell would think that would run 11,000????

 

The prob with it being totalled is I won't get what I owe on it so I"ll have neg equity

 

I'm guessing that you don't have GAP insurance.

If that's the case then I guess it's better that they don't total it.

Well, I was looking through my policy today cause I couldn't remember, but I couldn't find the gap paperwork which tells me that, no prob not. I owe bout 13k on the car and NAPA estimates it for 13.5K

 

but thats if the insurance takes that NAPA estimate.

 

That's way too much damage man, it will cost something like around 10k, if not more, to fix.

Front left fender, front right fender, these will run you about $400 bucks each, $800 total.

Each HID housing is $800 believe it or not.

Front bumper would be about $500.

Front driver side door is easily $700.

Rear driver side door is pure aluminum and costs around $900.

Rear quarter panel and rear bumper is going to run you near $800.

This does not include the misc parts and services like the fender liner, bulbs, materials, your corners, paint, and especially labor. The average shop charges $80 an hour for labor, you're look at about 15+ hours of labor right there.

I would just let the total it and get another 04. They go for about 9-11k with about 35-50k average.

It just sucks ***** but **** happens man. Look at me, both my 7 and 8 were totaled.
