yeah accounting is relatively easy...trust me...i know this. It's more tedious (sp) than anything else.
Just take your time with it unless you're confident in it.
Also, nikko, what is your major?

If there's any advice i could give anybody else here it would have to be STAY IN SCHOOL if you haven't already graduated outta college.
I understand some of us can't pay for it (myself included) and some of us have some other priorities that can't be set aside but those of us who can or those of us who can prioritize school into their schedule should go to school. Even if it's vocational or trade school - just keep going - it sucks to have just 'high school' completed or 'some college - no degree' on your resume.
I'm fighting a pretty tough job market out here and almost every minute i spend looking for a job i am wishing i had stayed in school for my CPA. I wouldn't have to worry as much about competition.
Bottom line - if you can go to school - DO IT. If you can think of a lame excuse not to go, then don't. Just know it may haunt you.

for sure. that ish looks too hard for me. i wouldn't touch it.
my sister does interior design so she has to draft up floor plans and make 3d models on autocad
man she spends so much time on the computer. its defintely hard work!
why dont you go back to school? you could go to AI...its right down the street from you. thats where my sister goes.

defintely good advice. i plan to finish all the way through. hopefully doing so i can land an internship that could put me in a position for a job as soon as i graduate.
the only way i drop out for school for work is if i'm making nearly 100k a year...otherwise not happening.
on the other hand, i'm also lucky enough to still be living at home, so my expenses are minimal.

Dude, Nikko - if you need help bro, definitely hit me up. Unless its advanced statistics - i have almost completely forgotten everything from that class Even if i can't help you, my ex probably can - she's just shy of becoming a CPA
Dozer: dude...i can totally see you doing something in architecture! Your pops does stuff like that now - you have an edge bro, you have someone in the field you know and can mentor! A certified architect is tough to come by but they get paid BANK! That is if you're certified - which means you're gonna need some schooling. Bro, go for it - think about what you could accomplish in 10 years. Don't just think about next year or the year after. You're gonna hit 40 bro - and your mom is gonna get older. Things are gonna happen fast -

i always found drafting fun, back when i was in school i had NO support, my mom would b*tch about how school does nothing that to find a job and work hard...and my dad, well he only supported me so much, he gave me a car and gave me money but not enough...now that i have a full time job and time on my hands while im at work, i REALLY need to hit the books again

What up carlos
I would throw you under the bus right now and say you'd have to do some ultra dumb **** to kick it but in reality it's all good - just come out to one of our meets some time and introduce yourself.
As long as you're not one of those knucklehead wanna-be street racer then i'm sure you'll fit in.
however if you are a street racer i would keep it under wraps til you're by yourself. We don't condone any of that bs. We mess around with each other from time to time on the road but we don't intentionally street race to prove anything.
welcome to the socal 8's. There's a lot of meets in your area. the sgv/626 meets aren't too far from you. Unless you don't mind travelling down to the oc - the oc has a lot of shifting meets from time to time so be sure to stay posted in the west forum for new updates. There's one at an in and out on the 13th. There's also a dealership meet on the 20th and then there's the biggest rotary event of the year on the 26th - link is in my signature. check it out!
otherwise, there's a wealth of knowledge to be learned - i would highly suggest droppin' any n00b questions in here before lurking around the forum tho
