Increased productivity makes for increased self esteem. If you feel useful to others you'll feel better about yourself.

Keep yer chin up and you'll be through it in no time, we all go through ups and downs and its only a matter of time before you can go no lower and start to head back up. Focus on things that really matter in your life and if you can't find any really (it happens in times of depression) do, like you said, something that will show a positive impact on the world around you.

Just don't go smoking loads of bud or drinking, that'll be the beginning of the end!

I had too many friends wreck their lives from a combination of many things, one of such being that. I'm not against it at all, haha, just don't think a depressed state is the appropriate time to be turning to it
