I don't think it's the same, exactly, shady...

to be honest....Men ARE analytical thinkers...and women are OVERLY emotional.....Estrogen is a curse sometimes

but being expressive is good and all, as long as it's not ALWAYS anger or egoism...difference between estrogen and testosterone...

what I found to be true is anger translates into caring. You dont get angry about something you do not care about. and people only care about things they love.

if you take that as a true statement men love many things and care for many things which is why we get angry so often.

If we were allowed to express our caring and our love we wouldnt get angry about the situation.

I rarely get angry, and I love a lot of things.

It's probably because I don't inject myself with bull testosterone though. :D

well when it's just you and your girl, then you should be able to show your love and your affection, your weak side etc.

I have never once told any man I've seen/been with that crying is not manly and to stop...I know how it feels after that stress relieving cry or finally breaking down and saying "I don't ever want to lose you"

It's not a bad thing, ya'll need to get that out of your minds. If you tell her how she feels, then it's going to be a lot better than having to fix the door that you punched cause it's "emasculating" to admit to your feelings...she'll love you a lot more if you tell her how you feel...every time!

Except if men express too much emotion, then they scare of women because they think that the man is a whiny bitch that cannot protect her.

That's a specific case/scenario outlook. some women may feel that way, but I'd much rather prefer a man that can tell me exactly how he feels so I'm not walking on eggshells for fear of him snapping.

My parents were that way, and it's not a pleasant picture. My dad would bottle everything up and when he would drink, it would ALL come spilling out as harsh words and flying fists.

A woman would much rather have a man tell her how he feels when he feels it because, if not, it's not that he can't protect her from others, it's that he can't protect her from himself and his angry outbursts.

That is where "metrosexual" comes from...

Actually, being able to express it wouldn't prevent the anger.

Getting people to stop screwing with the things we love would prevent the anger.

Jess: You are correct and make a valid point. I prefer a society where people can just be themselves and not have to hide behind this curtain of sterotypeisms (I think I just made a word )

Then why is it the one thing/person they should love the most is the one thing they get the most angry at?

Why do men hit women and scream at them, if they love them?

I'm confused...

my parents, my grandparents, my friends: I've seen it over the generations men get angry AT the one they should be loving the most...

I disagree,

Metrosexual refers to men who has a strong concern for his appearance or a lifestyle that displays attributes steroetypically associated with homo's, although he is not a homo.

Yes that's off wiki

But I believe that defines them, and is what I go by when referring to one

I prefer me some metro dood, Why should I put all of the effort out to look hot and be objectified and then date a man that can be a total and complete slob?

UN-FAIR

I am sure there are several different causes that the reason could fall to. I know for my part, when I'm angry at my wife it's because SHE is the one threatening what I love. Even if it's her. For example, ignoring the signs and letting her blood sugar level drop critically low and then trying to drive. Not paying attention and injuring herself, etc...

Those that are violent drunks certainly don't have the same explanation, I would guess that they are drinking because they are trying to forget something or make it go away, even if thinking they are just "Trying to be happy for a while", and when mentally impaired, they can't distinguish between the surface reasons and the real reasons. Probably similar to how they have trouble distinguishing between the paved road surface and that tree.

I'm saying it's in the right direction, but swinging too far. Like over-correcting on a drift... it's bad.

Seph: non metro dudes are not always slobs. Metro dudes IMO, are pansies that act like women except they got a ding dong and wear "pants".

I know women who want nothing to do with metro men just because of this and prefer guys who aren't slobs, dress up when it calls for it, and are just themselves outside of it.

I wasn't 100% serious with my description 'come-back'. Though I do think they are certainly related.

There is a difference between a metro dood and someone who takes care of themselves.

Extremes. That is what the issue is. Extremes are bad for any individual, any group, and society.

ehhh I have no qualms with metro guys, I feel they appreciate the effort that women put out to look good FOR them and are returning the favor. I'd rather have a hot COUPLE than a hot chick with a dood that just doesn't want to try.

and there are many levels of metrosexuals. there are the guys that go all out and match their undies with their shirts and shoes....or you have the guys that choose to wear that beige color to match the camoflauge pattern on their shorts.

I'm an artist, it drives me nuts if I see a guy wearing plaid shorts with a striped shirt in another color....You have to have SOME level of concern for your appearance if you want to go out with me

Some level or taste yes, but you are getting it confused with what the majority of society has already confused Seph. If women push men to be just like them, you have ball-less dudes acting like little pansies, and then you have role reversal which is exactly the problem we have in many relationship dynamics today.

Men and women are not the same, and have different attractions for different reasons. While both should chose a style they like and try to make it look or work well, the desire or personality for certain tastes are different. The attraction is different, men are interested in a woman's looks first where a woman is interested in a man's personality first (usually). This is why women always down through history try to look much better than men even if the guy dresses proper. Face it, women is the more beautiful of the 2 of them. Different characters and attractions bring both together.
