If you look at the recommended specs Adam, a 245 works on a 9.5, maximum. Over that is stretching beyond the recommendation, but doesn't mean it can't or won't work even if it results in worst tire performance.
Well, to sum it up; the RX-8 was designed with the same tire size all around. If you go staggard then you will upset the neutral handling of the car be it oversteer or understeer. People likes staggard because it looks nice and makes it look like you're pushing 500whp but destroys handling.

But then again, I'd ignore all the disadvantages of a staggard setup and go with what everyone else is saying since it will make the 8 look so much nicer.

i dont want a staggered setup never did, pain in the *** and cant rotate the wheels. I was going to do same size all around. Hopefully the rp03's 18x9.5 +38? wont be too expensive from tirerack
