j03: here's my thought process on Mods for a car.
Never buy anything that you can't pay for in cash on the spot or pay off when get your credit card bill.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with borrowing funds if you've budgeted accordingly and this money is simply being utilized due to timing, not actual shortage of funds at the end of the month.
ie; if you do not need to make any additional sacrifices in your budgeting this month because you spent $100 on a short shifter, then YES it's okay because in essence I'm only floating you the money for 4 days.
If you need this $100 for other things (bills, girls, other commitments) then no don't do it.
