I see, I look forward to hearing back from you soon regarding this issue.
Kind regards,
Shady
We're all going to die!!!!
This is what will happen if one of the Daiichi power plants explodes in Japan, assumed by the NRC.
And just so you know, we get 75 rems an hour from the aftermath....
Here's a little info on how much damage the average human body will receive if such an explosion were to occur...
Blood count changes (hemopoetic syndrome): 50 rem
Vomiting: 100 rem
Mortality: 150 rem
LD50/60 (with minimal supportive care): 320 – 360 rem
LD50/60 (with supportive medical treatment): 480 – 540 rem
100% mortality (with best available treatment): 800 rem
DOOMSDAY IS COMING!!!

Oh... and here's a fun fact...
The Daiichi power plants uses Uranium rods which pretty much have a half-life of 68.9 years to 4.468×10^9 years... depending on what isotope they use...
WE'RE DOOMED!!!

The two protective walls that houses the reactor's already been breached due to the failure of all three back-up systems.
Obama got scarred and sent two specialists from the US NRC to help the Japanese prevent a catastrophe.
The chances of a meltdown is pretty high according so an official in Japan.

You do realize that the aftermath won't be of the sort of Chernobyl, right? Even if there are meltdowns (sounds like a very grave, yet realistic possibility for reactor 2), it doesn't follow that the radiation will be carried widespread. The reason Chernobyl had the effects it did were because of the fire, which carried the radioactive particles far and wide in the smoke.
A meltdown =/= an explosion.
As far as reliable sources, I trust no one but the BBC and their live feed right now -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12307698

I'm not saying he didn't deserve the righteous *** kicking he got. I saw this earlier on youtube and it said the big kid got in trouble but the little douche got nothing in terms of disciplinary action.
