I was at a track day running expert class with a Z06. I could keep up with him in the corners. Out brake him going into the corners. But, on the one straight, he out ran me by about 20 car lengths.

and yeah, i'm not the rim swapper...that'd be tiltmode. As far as my 8...it's in the shop getting a make over...got into a lil' bit of a fender bender n' now i'm getting a new (to me) front. after i get a new oem front and my hood's done i'm probably going to be switching looks periodically
...hmm, i suppose your statement will be true at that time

Dude I'd be down once I get it back! What track? I'll have to lift it a little. It's lowered two inches. Haha. But yeah I don't doubt that 8s can hang with vettes on the corners. The power is way easier to control.

I typically run in intermediate lever due to the lower straight line speed of the 8, but that group was over subscribed. I volunteered to bump up. With that group, we passed anywhere on the track, with a point buy. In that group there were trailered race cars and Vipers running.

my last time out i was running some times that were on par with some of the slower intermediate drivers, but not really sure i wanna move up until i get more comfortable with the car. it can be frustrating though when you are just passing everyone and only get a couple of clean hot laps in a 20 minute session

Rev: you wanna start up the taste of the month meet again??
I got a couple of places we should check out. Two are in HB that have ample parking. I also know of a really good 24 hour diner that's pretty legit on PCH towards seal beach.

iono, i kinda want to make it more casual...and not so much at night...
like saturday...brunch-ish time.
The two places in hb aren't near the beach...just in HB.
1. Corner Deli in HB (on edinger): AWESOME sandwich spot. They also have pretty legit pizza. Good for noon-ish to afternoon-ish.
2. Kung-Pao Bowl in HB (on edinger too): Pretty decent chinese food. More quiet ambiance but they serve drinks n' such. Their parking lot is pretty awesome n' not too many cops.
The place out in seal beach/hb/long beach area is: Harbor House Cafe.
24 hour diner that's pretty legit. The parking might be tough though...might have to park across the street or something. It's on PCH though....and it's open 24 hours...which means we can have the meet up at like 1am or something lol.
what do you think?

anyways,
i'm not familiar with the harbor house cafe in sjc. by the looks of it on google maps, it looks like it's pretty limited in parking...
then again, same thing with harbor house in sunset beach.
guess it might not make the cut...
how about we just start it up at the corner deli n' then take it from there??
btw, if you want a bigger turn-out, we should advertise this on the mocc forums
