Write off: Charitable contributions as stated before (tithes, donations to charities, etc), interest on loans you own for school, medical costs for operations/check ups for the year, if you bought a vehicle (used or new) this year or a boat, motorcycle, house, so forth.

If you are a contractor you can write off the miles it takes to get to work so long you live outside 50 miles if I recall correct, from where you work. So if you say your perm location is mama's house and you currently live in an apt closer to work but your mama's house is over 50+ miles from work then technically you can claim that. It will work for perhaps 1 year, 2 tops.

Other that these is outside what I've done and know.

It depends on multiple factors such as how much money you made in a given year contrast to the other years, if you are placed in a higher tax bracket, what you claim what you didn't claim and your selections on the W4 form.

I actually wound up paying them a little at the end of the year. It's a gamble on the W4. I selected what would give me most of the money per paycheck and either they would owe me a little or I would owe them. I used to tithe a lot more than I do now and they owed me at the end of the year where last year I did not so it worked the other way.

In any given state if nothing changes between what you do with your finances and what you make each year then theoretically you should get the same back every year unless your tax bracket changes. Reality is, we always change what we do each year with our finances.

2010 Dyno Day!

https://www.rx8club.com/west-rx-8-forum-34/ultimate-socal-dyno-tuning-event-2010-a-189997/

I REALLY think this is going to be the GREATEST dyno tuning day that we've ever done both in terms of total cars and what kind of cars we'll have representing the SoCal group.
c'mon guys, I'm really hoping you can all make it out that weekend.
