^^Figured someone would say that. CC's are not bad, holding a balance in them is bad. Otherwise you reap benefits from it. I have 3 and they've never gained a dime out of me other than paying the charges straight up from my checking account. Not a single interest cent have they've earned from my accounts

That's what I do, I just have one credit card for my gas for my car, pay it off monthly and since i have a school and car loan, i'm building credit that way ^_^

^^You're wise young padawan.
Actually, anytime I wanted to splurge on stuff that cost over a few thousands, I pulled out a new CC waiting for the right offer of no APR for 12 months. So I could buy up to say, 4-5k worth of stuff, and pay it off before the intro period is up. Course you gotta pay the min due each month. Did this when I bought a new tv, blu ray and 360 and doing it again now getting parts for the 8.

Financing your own money is not complex. Anyone can be a "god" of it.
I created an excel sheet 3 years ago that I update weekly. It tracks my typical bills I owe each month (rent, car payments, overheard, etc) along with what I predict I will spend for food, gas, etc. I set it up to run almost a year down the road from the current day. This way I can forecast what my spending will leave left over to see if I can afford something like say, a trip, a vacation, a car, whatever.
It's very handy to have.

Varible = Perspective.
Life > Money but Money = Life but to some Money > Life
Theory: To those who find riches in being surrounded by those who they find enriching will find more satisfaction in that than any amount money can produce.
HOWEVER
To fatcats, Money > Life in that they are willing to sacrifice lives for their quest to accumulate and incorporate.
BUT
In many cases, LIFE = MONEY - which basically states that some are incapable of living life without being financially established. That or they believe that life cannot be truly enjoyed unless they have established some kind of financial security.
So yeah...i like theoritical math

You should always keep all receipts up to about 3-5 years worth just in case for something such as audits.
I have a few containers with folders that assorts all my different receipts for bills. Sooner or later gonna need a damn filing cabinet.
