Atilla: one of you guys is going to need a laptop so you can have all the pics in one central location.
I was planning on stealing everyone's pics at the end of the day.
CRAP, that reminds me: I need to make room on my harddrives.

Jedi: yeah, i'll have my laptop with me so we can just dump the pictures into at the end of the day. I'll also bring my flashdrives for quick dispersion of everything.

i think the hard part about everything will be coordinating all the damn vids. I'll probably have to take monday off to get everything done. lol.

So I forgot to engage my parking break last night in my garage...

Car rolled back into the door

White paint marks.. They should probably just buff/claybar out, right? Extreme slow speed, the garage is small, only rolled like 3 feet max.

tubing: I don't get why the car wasn't in gear.
I've never left a car out of gear when parking, even if it's on a level surface. I've had lots of people tell me they don't always put the car in gear: any particular reason? (just trying to figure out if they know something I don't?)

depending on what the inside of your garage door looks like, you might be fine. Some gargae doors have cross braces on the inside that hard rather sharp edges that could easily scratch the paint.
hopefully that's not the case and a good polish should take care of the problem.

Little bit of rubbing compound, clay and wax should take care of it no prob!

Well, it's a level surface, I never really put my car in gear..

In the morning, I may forget to take it out of gear and BOOM, it'll lurch forward.

Happened to me once when my car was on a lift, almost killed Dan, LOL!

Does it actually make a big difference?

Also, it was just paint, there are crossbeams, but they didn't make contact.

I don't know about everyone else here but when my dad was teaching me how to drive Manual, he always insisted I leave the car in gear with the hand brake on.

In the morning I put the car in neutrual, push the clutch in, and fire the car up. Never had issues.

if the crossmembers didn't hit, you should be fine with some clay / polish.

This is your 15 minutes of fame...

I used to have an 04 RSX (base model), then I drove a 07 328i for alittle bit but gave that to my sister. So I had 13k to get a car, I've always liked how the RX-8 looked and heard good and bad things about a rotary (9k rpm = gooood).

So I was looking around for a good low mileage RX8, came across nofreak selling his 8 on this forum, called him and decided to go to SF and pick it up.

I live in Lawndale btw (near Redondo Beach)

Pictures are in my sig, its a 05 WWP GT (manual) got it with 45k miles on it

and thanks for the welcome!
