Wouldn't it be a better strategy to simply pack up camp, delete his account, have everyone label him as a cheater, and set up shop under an entirely different name/monicker and/or sell remaining product to another party?
Overcoming this seems MUCH harder than that approach, imo.

And Paypal records record a hell of a lot more than people think. Paypal (owned by Ebay) knows exactly who has what accounts, and they have a very extensive crawler digging for fraud through their systems.
No, he couldn't. He is doing the only possible thing that could get him back into the community, and at some level I applaud him for doing the right thing NOW, but he should have had that to begin with, and you can't rebuild trust enough to get several hundred people to send thousands of dollars to you. Not at this point.
Only time will heal this wound. Probably with a good healthy dose of voluntarily assisting members in person thrown in. If Brize steps up and starts offering honest, clear, and voluntary advice and support, showing up to events and meets, helping members tinker with their cars, it would start that healing faster. Yes, like BHR. That's the part that makes BHR so supported and well liked around here, not their prices or offerings. RR could be the same type of vendor without BHR having to be the bad dog.
It's like I tell my wife. I don't have a problem with her being right all the time. In fact, I would prefer that she is right all the time. Which is completely separate from me being right all the time. It's entirely possible for both of us to agree and to be "right".
"Right" and "truth" isn't a competition.

What I was suggesting was Bryce simply dump the entire image and either operate through another name or sell of rx8 inventory and run through an entirely different name elsewhere.
Sure, dumping his name and acting as a newcomer wouldn't be honest, but it would potentially save some cash, regardless of how poor a reputation the old image had.
It's obvious the RR we know is tarnished, I wasn't implying trying to save that.
Hey, does anyone know another manufacturer of clutch pedal reinforcers? I'm sort of in need and will end up ordering through him via paypal and cancel payment if item is not received within 30 days.
What has bothered me about Bryce this entire time is his displayed maturity level. He talks like some of my peers do (as well as myself at time) yet is in an entirely different environment where things should be conducted with absolute professionalism (ie. mazmart). If I didn't know better based on some posted conversations as well as things he has posted, I would be hard pressed to say he's older than 21!

the only option i see as valid for a person who's still out there trying to make a living for themselves is to admit their wrong doings, bite the bullet and scrape the bottom of the barrel until it blows over and start anew with a new name and company.
most of the damage done tho is on scotts head (so he says) so i would imagine that if scott can start a new image and company even with all the stuff against him then surely he can too...

Heres the question...
When you are lying on your deathbed, pavement, car, actual bed, couch, etc... Your coughing up blood, having a heart attack, or watching your organs spill all over the ground will any of this **** matter?
Any of your money? your quarrels? your beliefs on life?
Your morals your feelings?
The answer is no. you will go into fight or flight, you will have a massive adrenaline rush surging through you as the last few seconds of life trickle out of your body. Then boom that's it you go to whatever god you believe in and bang game over.
So why bother?
Just enjoy life for however long your going to live it.
Have fun! smile more, laugh allot, feel alive.
My take on life...
If your not having fun either make what your doing fun or stop doing it.

Many of you bring up the point of him not being able to slip money through cracks here and there but let me put it this way;
Scott did it, after ripping off members for ~$100,000.
Yes, the internet is a very easily traceable place but with money/profit involved I sincerely think it would be possible. I'm not suggesting another Fluid -> RR transformation but an actual change in official ownership, it really isn't out of possibility IMHO.

o.O I just read the first page of the thread that jedi sent me, and I can understand, now, why everyone is making a big deal about this all.
Brice is trying to save his ***, and this is probably the only methodology that MAY save him for the future. If he really is biting the bullet as he says, then that is his responsibility not the consumers. As long as he refunds money and ensures everyone receives back what they've given, despite if it's his money or scott's, then that should restore some faith back into him.
But RIWWP is right. This is similar to the Toyota problem, people are losing faith in the brand, and therefore losing faith in the vendor altogether. Toyota may resolve all of their issues, but they've permanently lost a large percentage of their consumers because of this faux pas. People won't be as trusting with future vendors for the fear that something like this will happen again.

RR/Bryce is done, I don't see why he is allowed to post on the forum? His past dealings and affiliations are enough to dump him, why are the Admins allowing him to stay, even for the time being?
edit: Lol, why are people talking as if saving face is even a possibility?

I went through that debate with myself a few pages back.
I'm sure any given contract would include a clause stating something along the lines of use of forum membership as seen unfit by admin is subject to termination, or something or other. Contracts are the all end, designers allow for outs.
If not, what would stop some scammer from purchasing a vendor position and being forced to stay allowed to post on a forum simply because of a "contract" His forum section has been deleted as well...
The GB part is most likely correct, good call. His posts should be limited to those threads, why so much drama/nonsense?

I'd honestly prefer BHR stays out of that thread. Only my opinion, but too many people think that there is a fence, with BHR on one side and RR on the other, and any attack on either HAS to be the result of conspiracy from the other side of the fence.
I don't believe that for a minute, but BHR stepping into the thread lets those people keep trying to bring it up.

even though RR has a contract with Internet Brands, there is a clause in there that allows them to terminate the agreement at their discretion. It's a pretty simple C.Y.A. tactic.
I think Zoom is only allowing him to finish out his GB so that people who sent in money won't become victims as then Brice would have no easy way of communicating with them and filling all of those orders.

Please carefully, and objectively, reread what I wrote. ALL of it. I posted in "that" thread because I have probably been victimized more than any individual around here (and NOT just by Brice but also by some of the "hero" vendors many of you support) and, thus, I am entitled to have Brice hear what I have to say. Go read my list of things Brice has done to my personal AND professional reputations. Although I wanted to keep things of this nature in a private context, people who have a habit of glossing over virtually everything I post around here and then attacking me for opinions I do not hold needed to be made clear on where I stand in all of this.
Strange how BHR has been sullied by Brice and yet I still hold some level of empathy for what he is putting himself through, on a personal level.
And I am not supposed to post in that thread?

edit: Charles - I don't think RIWWP was up to date on the thread, it's pretty clear it has nothing to do with the company, you've made it very clear!
