SoCal Mega Meet!
#76
1. Mazfest is held at Button Willow Race Track Near Bakersfield. Not really SoCal
2. This is not a Race Meet
3. This is not particular to any car show. Many owners don't have cars that are show worthy and do not want to be intimidated.
4. It will not conflict with any other events
5. This is a giant Meet to bring all local meets (SoCAL) together for one day and to meet Local Vendors that service and sponsor the RX community!
6. The only reason I am getting sponsors is to make it more interesting and try to cut costs. For example......Location Fees!
7. It's a day to come and chill and talk to various RX owners and gain some ideas and or facts. Just like we do at our local meets. Do you attend those? Do you ever have a desire to go to the other local meets? Do you race at your car when you go to the local meets?
Peace!

My stupid suggestion for the day ;
If we had a huge parking lot, a few cones, and a stop watch . . . . we could set up a fun run. tell people it is an 'event' and they would be there.
If you do it at a scca solo event, then you gotta get all the money, registrations . . etc etc.
Opinions?? ** flame suit at the ready**

I would suggest a location like Laguna Seca...this would be incredible.

I went to a D1/NHRA show out in Las VEgas a year or so ago...they had drag racing, drift, as well as a car show...a little for everyone and you really couldn't get bored. OF course there was too much to see in one day, but at least you felt like it was worth yourtime going.

The local meets should already see this thread. I will bump AZ and NV once I get confirmed place and dates.

Not trying to argue with anyone? He asked, so I just pointed the facts behind this meet. I also had a few questions of my own.
