Drifting a stock RX-8 takes precise control and commitment.. I've done my fair share of track and street drifting in the 8 to know that you just have to be pedal to the floor, clutch kick, controling it with steering and gentle throttle movement.. Oh and all this was done with stickier tires than stock, Neova's and Direzza's, it would be 100% easier with some harder compound tires...
Some old footage, back when it had the Neova's...

i tried drifting it using clutch kick.. sometimes i do it right and mostly i oversteer... and couldnt connect drifts.. im guessing lack of torque.. but i dunno.. coz when i release the gas in the middle of sliding(to keep me from oversteering), and if i get back to the gas, the rpm wont climb up til i catch grip again...
