for those who did not go...
...or potential autox'ers, the driving school was alot of fun (highly recommended), more so in the rain! As a plus, the instructors really, REALLY liked our 8's, and the Michelen Pilot Sports held up GREAT in the rain (more so over the stock potenzas)!
tomorrow, forcast calls for......
....more racing!

ok..
sat. driving school:
shalom course:
1st run: 31.108
2nd run: 27.176 (instructor drove my car) + 1 (+1 = hit one cone, add 2 sec.)
3rd run: 30.338 +1
4th run: 29.588 +1 (same cone!)
5th run: 29.270 (my best)
6th run: 32.082 +1
7th run: 30.914 +1 (same cone!)
8th run: 30.853
sweeper course:
1st run: 54.844 (instructor)
2nd run: 65.426
3rd run: 60.395
4th run: 61.654
5th run: 52.720 (dsc off only - National champion)
6th run: 52.113 (completely off - Same National Champion, 2nd best time of day)
7th run: DNF (did not finish)
8th run: 60.122
9th run: 56.075 (my best)
Sun:
1st run: re-do, caught up with car in front of me
2nd run: 90.368 (my best)
3rd run: DNF
4th run: 94.x
Thoughts: the 8 handles great in the rain! I have brand new (< 1 month) Michelin Pilot sport tires, grip was excellent!
About the car, the National champion that did 2 runs on saturday, liked our car, said it was alot of fun to drive! I was sitting in the back seat in the grid, my instructor waves him over to drive, he gets in, checks the seat position, looks back and me in the backseat, and says, "Oh, there's 3 of us in here!". If you want to know the limits of the car, let one of the instructors drive!
Working course on Sunday with some other guy that owns an s2000, his best run was 96.x, so i feel pretty good about my 90.368! you can compare the results at the link provided in this first post (azsolo2.com).
zjoas, was there, tell us how you did (I was working while he was driving)! I'll be at the next event, hope to see some of you out there!
09, yes! someone can ride shotgun! Unfortunately, due to rain and lack of spectatorship, no video was taken. Maybe next month. Ne1 wanna volunteer?

Sounds like you had fun, and did well. Did you run with the DSC on or off? Too bad it had to rain for both you and us in Wickenburg. I would volunteer to ride shotgun and take video, when is the next event?

i think video has to be mounted in the car and i believe there is one event monthly. in the rain, dsc single click off, on the dry, completely off. it was the most fun that i could have legally in the car for 20 bucks!
