Can anyone recomend a good tint place on the Westside of LA. we are going to be doing 3 cars at the same time so any suggestions for discounts would be great.

 

This guy is very cool, one of our local SCCA solo2 racers. He is in OC but you might talk him into going up for three cars in one shot. He is going to be doing our RX8 and SUV very soon.

I talked to Toby at Elite... He gets $170.00 to do a RX8.... Not sure how that compares to others but i know he does do quality work.

 

Little bit of a drive, but I always take my cars to Bob at East Whittier Glass in Whittier--(562) 691-0901. Never had any peeling or bubbling problems in the 15 years we've been going there. Only charged me $120 to do my RX-8.

a question for those who have been tinting their cars for years....does the bubbles occur because of a bad tint job or because it is natural with any tint job over a long period? is there such thing as perfect tinting(no bubbles) for the entire life of the car (ie 120k-ish miles)?

 

It's usually a sign of a bad tint job. I had my last car for 40k miles and never saw signs of peeling, bubbling, etc. The tint was put on within 30 days of getting the car. I would think good tint will last the life of the car.

If I remember, it was about $125 for my 8. They have a lifetime warranty on their work as well. I've taken (or recommended) 8 cars to this place. Good work there.
