Question tires

hey guys, i just bought a set of rear tires for my car, they are 255/40 18, its on the stock rims. i went to vegas and i did the oil change right before, and on the way overthere i noticed the car goes slightly to the left when i step on it, and also it feels slugish. is it a big deal to have these tires?, are they adequate for this car?, the front tires are 225/40 18 so i dont know if i am actually hurting the performance of the car?

thanks
any help would be greatly appreciated,

did you get alignment after install the tires? and slugish is because you have much more friction going on between your tires and the road. that you just have to get use to it. that is why we dont need 255 in the rear. we dont have that much torque the break traction lol
