Gopher Canyon by the 15.

windy roads. being dumb and yes drifting .

it was in the middle of no where on the last turn

i couldnt take pix cause of how late it was but ill take a pic of it tomorrow when i go tot he towing yard.

but the front wint sheild was shattered, all i got were some little cuts.

i had one into the turn but someone was coming with high beams and i got kinda messed up, and by the time igot my vision i saw it was a smaller turn than i though , went right off rolled down the hill went snapped a tree through a fence and rolled onto the mud ...

both side mirrors are gone , both front light are gne fenders reduced to nothing.... but everything else seemed to be fine rear wheels are ok and it starts... but damn.... i cant beleive im alive . i had called my dad . and even the cops looked at the car then looked back at me and said "Your lucky to walking , let alone alive"..

but damn.... i really want my car back ..i love that car.

my friends with a prelud andfocus didnt even know what happened even though i was leading , they said it happened to so fast that only my friend in the prelude who was behind me saw just quick lights then he didnt realize i went off until he realized he had noone to tail.

damn..

i had a feeling it was a bad night for a run. even my girl told me not to go tonight.

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. Canyon runs are never really a great idea in my opinion. Oh and just like you told me after my accident:

is that your first totaled car? then it's ok
I totaled 5 car in one year when I was 18 and I'm ok, my EK sedan, then my FD, then a brand new RSX-S, then a MR2 turbo, and a 89 corolla GT-S and man that thing is fast at corners I don't know why. Take your lesson, and learn from your mistake, that's life kid, growing up is painful.

jesus... insurance?

they were just looking at the lines i was taking , and then give me feedback on it , but the car i may get now idk. i reallly dont wanna think about having another car .i love my 8 ,and i would still have it if only i was a better driver, if i Do have to get a new car which i more than likely will say Yeah i do . ill probably get and FD or an FC.

......maybe it'll be better that way. idk..i can hardly sleep all i keep thinking about is that my car isnt outside when i go out there .kinda sucks.

if i cant get anything in the rotary family ima get an 86 .

idk nothing as great as my damn shinka though.

That was a very dumb thing to do. You can't just live "the crazy life" without considering the consequences of your actions. I think people are being easy on you. You could easily be paralyzed or dead. Or worse, you could have killed somebody else who did not make a bad decision. I hope you learned your lesson and that when you get a new car, you will be more responsible with it. Did the cops/insurance seem to know what you were doing?

that's unfortunate but at least you're safe and hopefully you've learned something from it. I know how it feels... I rolled my AE86 back in 2003 but mine happened on a closed course. I couldn't sleep that night and all I can think about is how it happened and what do I need to do to fix it.

I have a friend that has a 350z that goes up into the canyons here in Malibu with a bunch of other various "race" cars, and I never take my car up there, because I think "is it really worth it?"

And lo and behold, last weekend he took a turn too hard and went straight into a ditch filled with trees and brush.

But yeah, canyon runs are always a bad idea unless you're just cruising. Or driving a joke car like an Integra or a Neon or something.

Dude.. Didn't you JUST get your 8? Please let this be a lesson for you to be more safe on the road.

Also, did the airbags deploy? If so which ones?

Wow. I love how some ignorant *** can get a rear drive car (with a basically flat torque curve) and think "HEY LETS RUN THE CANYONS MAN WOOHOO TOKYO DRIFT WAS AN AMAZING, EMMY AWARD WINNING PICTURE".

You deserve to have your car totaled after what you did to it. You shouldn't be allowed to drive considering you were trying to race two other idiots, it's a shame they didn't follow you down.

Street racing is absolutely retarded and you deserve ever bit of financial and emotional / physical pain that you suffered.
