track day???
So I am interested in doing a track day with the RX8, have not done one in a long time. However I will not do one during the natl/prosolo season and I don't want to do one during the warmer months, so that makes for limited choices.
I have found two events that happen before the natl/pro season and while it is still cool out, added bonus the wife will be out of town.
Jan 19th, fri, Street of Willow Springs with Redline.
Feb 10th, sat, California Speedway infield with Redline. There is also a Sunday Time attack with them but there is a Solo that day and I don't want to miss it.
The bummer on the SOW is it is on a Friday, that works for me but I would like to see some of you guys come out as well. The good thing about it is the price, $120.00.
CS is nice and close by but I hear the track is lame, a few slow turns with two long straits. The other bad thing is the $240.00 entry. The one good thing is not as far to drive.
So anyone interested in either of these?

At the moment I would say maybe. I have no problem with taking a Friday off, but I might prefer CS since I've done SOW twice and it's pretty far for me. Would have to figure out what tires to use.

Ahh... working too much. Need to repair my undercarriage first. Hope I have time.
Calf. Speedway is good if my car is ready. Remember it's rainny season.
SOW is always dirty with lots of rock, now add some rain eee ha!
Damn I need to get to work if I'm gonna make Big Willow.

The Streets event is being run CCW, interesting. Anyone have experience running that direction? Seems like it might be a bit safer with better runoff for the braking zones after the 2 straights.

Ja I did the bowl in reverse. Some big drop off around a couple of corners, so you can't push it to the max on them and alfully slippery at the end of the straight with the new pavement.
