The ULTIMATE SoCal Dyno Tuning Event - 2010
Hey Guys,
It's time to really kick off 2010 like only the SoCal crew can with another infamous Dyno Day Event but only this year we're going BIGGER & BETTER then ever before. This year we will have TWO full days of LIVE webcasts, dyno runs, accessport tuning, and all the shenanigans you've come to expect from us at these events.
Jeff (Mazdamaniac) will be doing live AccessPORT Tuning, the entire BHR Team will be there to talk Tech Stuff, help with possible installs, AND I'm told will have product on-hand for all you guys looking to upgrade.
The BHR Team will also be doing Compression Testing on Saturday and Sunday. Please see details / sign-ups below.
When:
Location: :
Steve @ SR MotorCars has once again been gracious enough to give us full access to his entire shop for the weekend.
SR Motorcars is the official Dyno Shop for all of my Dyno Days as they have proven themselves an invaluable partner to this community.
SR MotorCars
115 E. Gardena Blvd
Gardena, CA 90248
(310) 516-1003
Google Map Directions
We are starting at 9:00 am since I expect this to be a very busy weekend.
Cost:
N/A Cars:
- Please ensure that your vehicle is in working condition as tuning 'from scratch' will not be possible due to time restraints.
- I will be collecting all Tuning Fees in advance and these will be non-refundable as the cost includes travel / hotel expenses for Jeff and the BHR Team. I will PM all participants to discuss payment options.
Day 1: The Overboosted Overlords take the stage!
Day 2: Battle of N/A RX-8's!
Sunday will feature a maximum of 15 cars on the dyno or until Steve kicks us out of his shop, whichever comes first. If more then 15 members sign up then priority will be given to AccessPORT users and non-AP users will follow based on who signed up first.
Compression Tests
Compression Tests will be performed on-site by the BHR Team for only $50 per car. This is MUCH cheaper then any other place out there.
Saturday:
RX OCHO
ZumnRX8
Red_Fox
Konig
Volcomx31
Jedi54 - Secret BHR install + Seafoam.
Laythor - BHR Install + Seafoam
Sunday:
Nikkdizzle - Seafoam
Keep in mind that from the time we load the car on the dyno to the time we take it off could be 30-45 minutes so we will need to be as efficient as possible. The BHR team will be assisting to keep things in order on Sunday and will be making sure things move along smoothly.
Each person needs to make sure they are prepped and READY to get their car on the dyno at their allotted time slot.
We will have Donuts in the morning and be ordering a mountain of pizza for lunch so have some extra cash on you and we'll work right through lunch to keep this event moving.

EXCELLENT question!
Everyone is welcome to this event regardless of mods and even if you're not getting any engine management tuning.
This is a great way to get a 'baseline' of how your car is performing now and can always compare your later dynos to it to see any possible improvements.
If you don't have an AP, all you need to do is show up, pay $50 and you'll be set. We'll take care of the rest

I was talking with Charles R Hill on Sunday and he's got some fun surprises in store for this year's event.
stay tuned
yup, the AccessPORT is "mated" to the individual car's PCM so everyone needs their own.
that's awesome Atilla!!!
I don't think we've ever put a 6 port AT on the dyno, thanks for volunteering and representing for the A/T's!
c'mon guys, Atilla is susceptible to peer pressure...

YES, there will be a limit for how many cars we'll dyno on Sunday.
If you guys are interested in putting your car on the dyno, sign up ASAP because we will fill up rather quickly.
I haven't decided the exact limit because it'll vary based on who signs up. (ie; how many people need tuning ) The limit will be somewhere between 12 and 15 cars.

Brettus: me and you both brother!
I know the turbo guys will be working night and day to make sure their cars are ready to throw down some great numbers that day.
OH, that reminds me: I still owe you a PM. thanks btw.
Also, I'll see the guys next door still have that Camaro lying around and maybe we'll get another video of it racing down the street and lifting the front wheels off the ground when it takes off.

HEY, I still have a burn scar on my hand from strapping down Phil's last year, I think that already earned me another spot in the driver's seat of his car. Now that you mention it, it has been a while since I've driven that beast...
do it!
would be good to have ya
