I'm actually quite excited to see Newcastle's car on the dyno. For those of you who don't know, he just got his engine replaced by Mazda and is scrammbling to put miles on the car to break it in. I imagine by the time we strap it down next weekend, he'll have somewhere around 900 - 1000 miles on the engine.
All his mods are going back on tomorrow.

What will a freshly built Mazda Reman put down????

Jeff: I'm tempted to do the first pull without any of your AP maps and then see what we can squeeze out of it. He'll have a new AEM, BHR coils, and his HKS high flow cat back on. I could see him breaking the 200 whp mark as long as that engine wasn't built on a monday.

 

Got my new wires ordered. Sparkplugs arrived today. Just need some coils

easy I ordered the wires from the site 30 mins ago. Any idea as to when I can expect them to arrive?

 

I'd love to see a back-to-back dyno pulls with and without the AP.
Might be fun to do that with a "known quantity" like your car also.

Newcastle shouldn't worry too much about "breaking-in" his motor.
A rotary is broken-in the first time it gets up to temperature.

Jeff: yeah, I told him the Remans don't need much breaking in but he's playing it safe JUST to be sure.

Before and Afters would be tons of fun with my car and Tim's.
I'm probably not bringing the RX-8 on Saturday since we'll have such a full plate but I'm down to do it on Sunday.

T-shirt update:

All T-shirt sizes have been confirmed and the order is being placed tomorrow.
Reminder: Courtesy of BHR, T-shirts are being ordered for every car getting on the dyno and Ray is picking up the majority of the cost.

All you guys have to do is pay $10 and you'll be sporting the OFFICIAL 2010 Dyno Day Shirt!

If people don't show up or don't want their shirt (for some unexplainable reason), then we might sell that shirt to someone in attendance so Ray doesn't end up with a closet of these.

I was thinking it would be nice to get everyone together and do a pic with everybody wearing the shirts.

Sunday will feature a maximum of 15 cars on the dyno or until Steve kicks us out of his shop, whichever comes first. If more then 15 members sign up then priority will be given to AccessPORT users and non-AP users will follow based on who signed up first.






Compression Tests
Compression Tests will be performed on-site by the BHR Team for only $50 per car. This is MUCH cheaper then any other place out there.

Keep in mind that from the time we load the car on the dyno to the time we take it off could be 30-45 minutes so we will need to be as efficient as possible. The BHR team will be assisting to keep things in order on Sunday and will be making sure things move along smoothly.
Each person needs to make sure they are prepped and READY to get their car on the dyno at their allotted time slot.
We will have Donuts in the morning and be ordering a mountain of pizza for lunch so have some extra cash on you and we'll work right through lunch to keep this event moving.

Atilla: nope, Cesar wont' be doing it.
But I will be doing it with my new HD video recorder! Cesar hooked me up with his tripod and a few new lenses so it should be even better then last year's.

We'll be trying a different filming angle as well.

 

I'll be bringing my Fuji S2000HD and a tripod also. With an 8G card.
