Vegas Group Drive 3/7/2004 - Death Valley

We will be meeting on 3/7/2004 for the next group drive. This will be a death valley run, and will last all day.

Meeting Point:
Chevron/McDonalds at Warm Springs/Las Vegas Blvd. (by Belz Mall)

Time:
9:00am

Route:

Up over the Summit (160). We will be turning left before pahrump, and going towards Shoshone. Past Shoshone is a turnoff for the long way to Furnace Creek. In Furnace Creek we will get some lunch (there's scenic stuff on the way, and we'll stop at the lowest point in DV).

After Furnace Creek, we'll head up to Dante's View so we can get some tight uphill twisties in. The view is over all of death valley, and is over 5k feet.

From there, we will probably head back to the 160, and then back into Pahrump.

This really should be an all day drive, and you can get back home faster if you skip lunch and don't do Dante's View.

See you all there, and check http://www.vegasgroupdrive.com for the latest information!

I'll try to head out to the next group drive syntix. My 8 is the one behind Dan's in the pictures. His 8 looks sick w/ that body kit. Hopefully on the next drive there will be some more RX8's. The drive to Overton was a lot of fun.

Ok, lots of support from other forums so far! Who is in?

BTW, I found a neighbor (within 2 blocks) that owns a green rx8. Between Trop and Russel on the East side. Was freaky when I went by on the bike the other day!!

At death valley junction, we'll probably just head back to pahrump, that's a map from Jan from a run on the bikes.

It will cost $10 per car at furnace creek, but it's kinda the "honors system". I intend on stopping at the visitors area and paying.

Once again, we are getting some really good response for this drive!!! See you all there!!!

Hella fun! Especially with the white wrx wagon that was MODDED.... and he had track time, too!

We dominated the front, and just had a nice pace, not full on

I did bust a fat drift getting on the 15 from blue diamond
