What is the best part of owning the RX8??
Just getting some feedback on what is the best reason for owning the RX8. I was going to look into one, but could not decide. Just wondering....

For me, I have a trunk that's usable, backseats that are usable. The car looks sharp. But mostly, the way it pulls and handles so smoothly. I like the concept of the rotary engine as well.

the more things change
i had my 8 for a year when a friend bought a g35., which they let me drive quite aways around town. i could not wait to get back in the seat of my 8, for a real handling car..

letting off the throttle on a catless midpipe / borla setup with a turbo and blasting a giant firecracker blast as the guy tail gating you tries to hit the brakes to get away from the rx-8 - which he now thinks is about to catch fire and explode.

thats what she said
well here's a short pros and cons list of my rx8 owning experience:
pros:
great handling
stunning looks
comfortable interrior
suicide doors for kids in the back
cons:
limited trunk space (you cannot fit oddly shaped boxed into the trunk)
poor gas mileage
terrible customer service
engine is slow on acceleration
thats all i can think of for now. but if good customer service is something you want. i would stay away from a Mazda vehicle because their customer service sucks ***

Best part is driving.
Close second is the reaction of people to it.
Yesterday i was enjoying some El Pollo Loco when i guy left the place and did the look and walk around on the car. Good deal.

Trust me I hear ya......when people take a double take and look at ya.....
THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD.
When I used to race my S2000 I had to wear a helmet and when I would get done and took off the helmet a ton of guys would just sit and stare.

Nah, the looks people give you is always nice. I have had a ton of people come up to me at gas stations or just stare at the thing at a red light. The car is a real head turner, and with exhaust its just great to be on the highway and downshift in 3rd around 60 mph and the car next to you in the middle lane's head turns with awe instead of with the wtf pos honda civic ricey cheese mobile disgust face.
Gas mileage blows and I have spare tire package so instead of little trunk space, I have no trunk at all. Then again whoever buys a true sports car and is concerned about their gas mileage baffles me... and I don't want to have a blow out with no spare. <shrug>

Besides it is the ONLY rotary type of vehicle in the world (besides other Mazda produced ones)?
Uniqueness
Sleek design
Awesome handling (for the price)
But, the best reason for owning the RX is that it is ROTARY powered!!!
